Why did they just dump the first versions with the metal kick plates? Really wanted the black ones with the metal plates.

O’Neal Racing sells replacement metal toe plates for $10. A better question is why they don’t make these with a goretex or hipora lining. Oiling boots was fine 40 years ago but there’s no excuse today for making boots that soak through.

I bought my ICON Elsinore 1 boots back in... 2014? And wore them as an everyday boot. My right zipper finally broke. I want to have them repaired but, admittedly I'm worried about who I can trust to work on them.💔
    I love these boots ❤️
Thought I wish they kept the metal heel plate on the Elsinore 2 maybe add a toe cap of similar design?

Same thing happened to me around August. I'm just going to take them to my local boot repair shop before next riding season. I think any half-competent cobbler should be able to throw in 2 new zippers no problem.

Does Icon plan to extend the new Elsinore2 with metal shin and heel like it was in the old Elsinore HP?
Really wanted to buy Elsinore2 with the metal plates.

Is it still comfortable to shift on a sportsbike with this?

ICON should have some more in the US soon at which point we will have them live on the site.

How is the calf size? That's always my boot problems. I have Giant calves and they're a super pain in the butt.

I just got this exact pair and have really large calves. You can use the bindings to loosen the calf section up, and they stretch and relax/break in pretty quickly. Big fan so far.

They arent for obese people. Much like motorcycles arent for that type of people either. Walmart scooters, on the other hand, are perfect for you.

Need advice, please. I have a pair of Forma Adventure Boots (with the snap closure weirdness). I have thick calves. The top of the Forma boots is *very* tight on my leg. To wear those boots requires either boot cut or bellbottoms (ew).
When close, how wide open is the top of the ICON Elsinore 2 or ICON Elsinore 1000 boots?
Looking to tuck pants into boots, natch. Any help would be appreciated.

6 months late to your question, but I figured I'd measure me Elsinores since they are right next to me. I'm a size 9.5 and keep them on the middle holes on the side straps. The measurement at the top is 6.5" front-to-back, and 4.5" left-to-right. There's not much bulk at the top of the boots, so they slip over my carhartt straight-cut pants no problem, but half the time I tuck my pants into the boots. Hope this helps.

That zipper looks like it will scratch everything it touches on the bike

As they;re not waterproof they're almost useless for Europe. It's a pity as they're very cool.

You need to oil them. Well that’s what you needed to do with the first version anyway. They were oiled leather and could be rubbed with olive oil

That was a great solution 40 years ago before even the cheapest boots had goretex linings.

There was nothing wrong with the first ones. These look cheap
