Another great video! Got my NX450h+ a few weeks ago and love it! Never thought I would like an suv, but the NX is quickly changing my mind. It’s the perfect fit for me. I drive mostly close to home so the plug-in aspect for me is phenomenal! I drive in EV mode 90-95% of the time and I forget I’m in a Lexus since I’ve been so used to their normal hybrid vehicles. When in HV mode it’s like any Lexus hybrid I’ve owned. Quiet, smooth and refined! This is the first model year for the new NX, so Lexus will only improve and make it better! Keep the videos coming!
The piano black trim on the inside Is easily kept clean by using a super plush soft rag that I got from the Rag Company, I keep one in the car and it’s dedicated to just wiping down the screen and the black piano trim nothing else, don’t use it on the outside of the car. Go to their website the Rag Company and order one. Also I didn’t hear you say anything about paint protection but it’s a good investment if you wanna keep the front of the car from getting chipped up. I payed $2000 for the dealership to have somebody come out to the dealership and put the clear film on the entire hood and the both front fenders and the front of the NX, it gives you peace of mind knowing that the paint is protected, you’ll wish you did it once you start getting rock chips on the front and you can’t even tell it’s on the car.
Sorry gloss black does not belong in a vehicle. The UX is much better in this regard, everything is matte or textured plastics. Gloss black would drive me absolutely nuts
Another great review Kenny! Have been Toyota/Lexus fan-boys almost forever … Celica, Camary, 4-Runner, CT200h, IS250c, and GX460 in the garage. And we just picked-up a ‘22 RX350L. lol … oh, and it was nice to see your LV Keepall in the cargo compartment of your NX. I have the Keepall Bandouliere 45 in the RX. 😬 KEEPALL BANDOULIÈRE 45
I know it completely depends on how much you drive but could you give us what you drive daily and how often you are refueling? I was on the waitlist for the Hybrid in Denver but doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon so the one I want minus hybrid is coming in the end of this month. With gas prices skyrocketing and needing premium gas can you give us some insight on the fuel economy for you and what you seem to be getting?
Thanks for posting! The NX is a little small for me, but I like a lot of the new features and really enjoy hearing your opinions. I agree that there is entirely too much gloss black. One thing that Lexus should do, especially considering the size of that infotainment screen, is include a small microfiber cloth in the center console like the one used for eyeglasses. Infiniti did that with the Q50 when they started using the two screen center display and it came in very handy. For the profile issue, perhaps you need to select the radio button next to your name so that it knows to use that profile with your work phone. On a side note, it was the Louis bag in the back.. for me ☺️
Thank you so much for your feedback! I was really surprised to see how easily you could see fingerprints on the gloss black trim so it would’ve been nice to include a cloth already. And I will try that option for my user profile to see if they fixes my issue. Lol and thanks, I always have to be prepared incase I decide to drive out of town.
Kenny, can you review an NX 450h when your dealership receives one? Also, Amazon has console trays for your 2022 Lexus NX and are available with a blue trim similar to your car color. I’ve purchased these trays for our Camry, RAV4, and Lexus RX. They are so handy.

Hi Kenny I recent bought the NX since I was inspired from you came from the IS to NX great purchase so I thank you. Make sure to update your Car as that should fix the user profile issue(you do this by connecting to the wifi so that feature is very important) additionally sometime won't connect however you can manually enter your pin created from your vechle profile. Also I know Lexus Is planning to introduce a digital key would that be coming to the vechle in the future?
Good point with the audible lock and unlocked sound! For safety reasons it would be nice to know if it's locked. Can you can turn off the lane assist feature permanently or do you have to do this each time you turn on the car? Also, can you turn it off with voice command?
I had the same issue with the profile not loaded thing, what I did was reset my profile on my phone app and key profile, and deleted and remade my profile on the car and it hasn’t came back since
