Awesome review FAB. For those you want to foam gun, its between 35-45 ml on 1L depending on your pressure washer. Let it dwell a little and use a wash mitt to help remove the caked dirt. Gyeon can just make excellent products
Why haven't you used GYEON FOAM for the pre-wash ? Bath is a good shampoo to get the car clean, but FOAM is made specially to encapsulate the dirt and debris. Curious to read your reply!
I don’t see a reason to use Gyeon Foam. Any foaming soap will encapsulate dirt. I’ve never really bought into needing a dedicated foaming soap. Just my opinion but the ones saying you need all these different products are the ones selling it to you. The more products or soap they get you to use the more money they make. That’s just my 2 cents.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I agree with you that many shop have a tendency to push you to buy more stuff, but I have a good friend that owns a very professional detailing business and I do trust him when he recommends using certain type of product for certain washing procedures. After trying all sorts of products/methods, I can assure you that using BATH as a pre-wash is like not using any product. It doesn't help removing dirt AT ALL. The best way is to use FOAM directly on a dry surface - rinse - than contact wash with either BATH or RESTART WASH. This is what I'm doing and I'm having great results.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Ah, I see. I will foam it up the entire car using a foam cannon then will get a wash mitt to wipe down. I guess its fine as well right? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the update, Brian! Looks like Gyeon makes some pretty good stuff. Have thought about trying some of their products, just haven't done so yet. Trying not to keep chasing the "next best thing," but man, that's really hard...
Nice follow up Brian. You've convinced me to buy a can of the Can Coat, primarily for my wheels. I use Polishangel on the paint, but I have been looking for a really good option (easy to do without the stress of a full blown coating) and you've convinced me this might be the ticket. Apply a coat of can coat and then keep it maintained with a good spray and rinse Si02 topper like Gyeon Wet Coat or similar product.
Brian I used Restart as my 3 month maintenance wash for Mohs yesterday. It worked great. Smells terrible, but it works and that is all I care about. I'm not washing indoors 😂
Great video, but why using high pressure water when spraying off after the wash, i never do that, only shower it off after washing, the beading and sheating is much more than on your video.
Thanks! Shower setting on a garden hose uses a lot more water and takes longer to rinse. Pressure washer uses a lot less water and makes rinsing a breeze.
Gyeon has some solid products. Since you have used and seen both CanCoat and Wax in action…. Would you use Wax again on top of CanCoat or would you leave CanCoat alone and only top it with ceramic detailer on another vehicle? Cheers Carmen
hey brian...john from demotte...been using restart for several months...use it every 3rd/4th wash as it excellent in removing road grime/mineral/acid rain-fallout-iron deposits. use beasleys ceramic body wash in between - but all vehicle need to be cleaned with a little stronger wash media...restart does exactly that. evvidence is in the side panels as u noted with the hydrophobics returning since the restart removed the grime/contamination so as to let the coating benefits show thru. i do use a little different....i rinse first then foam with restart and let it sit 2min minimum to allow the iron additive to break it down and also the road grime. yves in his videos about restart and other products mention to leave it on at least 2 min....2-3 is the sweet spot.....rinse and foam again - then do the contact wash. i would rec every 3rd wash to use. be safe my friend. and that pump they supply DOES five out exactly 2mil/pump...so 8 pumps per wash 4 - 6 in foam cannon
What coating you have on car? How long it been on? Not as good as stuff I use but it’s okay . Glass looks okay too again not as good as what I use but some protection is better then nothing. Also I would look at using 1 companies products cause most companies make stuff to work with each other.. can coat is it just a spray thing if it’s just a spray thing then it’s doing great.
I use Gyeon Foam and Bathe Essence as my maintenance wash. My car has got CanCoat Evo on it and my drying aid is Gyeon Ceramic Detailer to protect the coating. How often do you recommend me to wash with Gyeon Restart? Every third or sixth wash for example? And is it more often in the winter time?
I would say once every 3 months or if you feel contamination before then. Winter isn’t any different because restart wash addresses contamination from iron particles.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing thank you for your advice. I will do that, and I have just ordered a bottle of Restart. Once or twice a year I use Gyeon Tar and Iron on the paint.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing a little update: I washed my car yesterday. First pre-wash with Gyeon Foam and then for the first time Gyeon Restart. And you are right. It really works great and the hydrophobic gets even better than before. And it only smells bad, when I put it in my bucket, not when I washed the car with my wash mit.
Gyeon makes really good stuff. When it goes on sale from distributors, I buy some. Otherwise I use less expensive products. Good update. Keep us updated on your car. Like that. Give family big hugs!!
It must be the letter G. I am a huge fan of Gyeon. I have been using their products for a long time, especially wetcoat. And the other G would be griots. But just wondering why wouldn't you use the restart in the foam cannon instead of the bath? Especially since it has iron remover in it.
I am a fan of both companies also. I didn’t want to foam it and take a chance of it drying on the surface is why I didn’t foam restart. I have foamed with it and it foams up nicely.
I like the idea of having a shampoo that can iron remove at the high dilution. At $62 a gallon in California I’m always sure to charge if they need iron remover on paint. What we truly need is a foam soap & bucket soap so strong, it eliminates the need of a clay bar. Something that can melt bonded contaminant of all kinds, safely. Some cars I do feels like I’m reading Braille, knowing I’ll have to polish after. 3 cars a day sometimes I ain’t got time for that shit lol

Carpro Reset or Gyeon Restart? Which is better for restoring ceramic coated car? I can't find any video comparing these two.
Looking good! Glad to see alot of the bugs come off easily.
They came off extremely easy!
nice now on a uncoated vehicle where would the mechanical (clay) step take place?
After the wash process!
