The US dance was so fun, loved it! I also really liked the Chinese skaters, I don’t understand the scoring at all but I feel like they were robbed in the technical category lol. Beautiful, beautiful work.
Vika and Nikita’s program reminds me too much of Tessa and Scott’s “Seasons” musically, especially because of the change of pace in the last part. And visually, it’s too reminiscent of the Mahler program. I feel like if you believe you are someone who can contend for a medal, you should put some work in making sure your programs have a cultural impact. Theirs, unfortunately, don’t do anything to distinguish them. The iconic free dances this Olympics will be the Zorro and Daft Punk programs. And Madi and Zach’s are lyrical like many others but their passionate performance somehow ends up making it uniquely theirs.
For me the American pair had the most original program. My favourite pair is the Russian one which had a superb program and execution. I got goosebumps. 💗 The Japanese pair got me so emotional I got tears in my eyes. 💜
Did Sinitsina /Katsalapov miss a lift? It look like he went to life her and could not. I know going into this his back was injured. and Was that skate grab in the long program part of their skate. It looked weird.

Piper and Paul should kept the black costumes - much more simple and gorgeous. They are not my favourite team but did a pretty job with this program.
