Honestly, DM is always more of a funny nation to me. Losing to a country they pretty much full sieged down, losing to Scandinavia and giving up England, not doing anything while Aragon-Italy ships half its army to the Americas, etc. Editing in more that I just remembered: 1. DM tries to retake England, succeeds because of Amerigan battleships, then proceeds to turn on Ameriga with Scandinavia, who he just fought, only to get his navy destroyed. 2. DM skill issues his country into almost collapsing. The only way out is to join the Burgundians in killing his former allies. 3. DM stackwipes his ally's army during a transfer war. 4. DM gets completely drunk and almost screws over their ally by forming Italy. That was in this campaign. 5. DM, Burgundy, Italy, and Spain all join a war against the Elbians, Wurtemburg, Ottomans, Scandinavia, and the PLC. Elbians, Wurtemburg, Ottomans, and PLC were also fighting a massive war against Turania, China, Japan, and Russia. They get encircled and completely destroyed.
Holy cow. Did I see a, dare I say, Spudgun skill issue?? Those wipes in the north were brutal! I can’t wait to see how this war develops in the next episode. Spud truly knows how to keep everything in the air on how the chips will fall. Bravo on another fantastic episode.
DM didn't block encirclement or listen to Spud's advice in time. It was his front; Spud only had stacks there in the first place to support with his attack generals. Italy had trash mil tech, his role was to provide generals and occupy space while slowly moving in from the south. Spud did accidentally engage a larger stack while reinforcing but that's more of an 'attention issue'.
My answer for Spudgun Trivia Hour is: Scandinavia has a CB on Italy for Containment! Because of the Ottoman wars Italy has taken so many states that it is now over infamy limit.
@@28lobster28 My understanding from watching these videos is that there's basically two stages of infamy, the normal 25 puts the Casus Belli on you, while the 32.5 puts a modifier on your country, called something like "international sanctions" or whatever. Extremely well played burgundy, I like loco for being a wild card but it kinda feels like spud is backing the wrong horse.
