The lead that they encountered wasn't a repair. The factory would apply lead to that seam where the quarter panel meets the roof panel. But only old folks would know that lol

Yep, that's how GM did it on most cars during this period. Same deal on my '66 GTO.

Take a look at this GM ad from the late ‘70s where the metal finishing operation with lead on the assembly line is featured: ua-cam.com/video/Mgbscwm2IuE/v-deo.html

I'm liking where this is going! Takes me back to 1970, when I was 19 years old, just out of high school, in South Florida, a buddy bought a brand new, showroom fresh '70 Nova with a 427 in it. Must have been some kind of COPO order, right? That was one of my scariest back seat rides, ever! (Bob Vick, are you out there? Thanks, my friend, for a crazy good memory!)

How do you guys not have more followers? Great content allowing me a vicarious fix of a wide selection of muscle while living in the UK and driving an 06 Kia.

I assume we would have more viewers if we made more regular content. So glad you like it though, feel free to share with your friends! -E

One good thing is that the body panels in this Nova are in relatively decent shape especially considering it's age ...

I imagine it's not the easiest to find a shop that works on classic 60s to 80s muscle cars..
