I love this. Today is the first time every argument made sense until Sharon and her Kivo😂 brilliant girl tho, but if we are to be real, take the job and start planning immediately to get out of it. The reality here is, although not fair to us, but half a loaf in Ghana is far better than none cos most of us don't have that home or soceital support. What I don't get from the two panelists in favor of taking the salary is, we are talking about inflation as an acceptable necessity, like just take it like that. Take the job but think outside the box.y
Let's say you work from 9am to 5pm that's 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday. let's assume you are paid 11.44gh an hour in Ghana, that is 8hrs x 5days =40 hrs a week , now take 40 hrs × 11.44 gh = 457.6 a week In a month you will earn 1,830.4gh a month , let's round up to 2000gh in a month. Now let's switch £11.44 an hour is the minimum wage in UK , £2000 is an average salary for any entry job , and it's enough to pay your rent, food , tax , transport and even a car, phone and other stuffs on contract and still save more like £500 in a month depending on how u spend. The same system applied in Ghana u won't get the result , 2k is more than enough for an entry job , but high inflation and cost of living has devalue 2k . Before u argue remember 1gh = 1$ in Ghana before, if we had worked hard to maintain it , this won't be our story.
