Turned out I had testicular cancer too and had to get one removed but I caught it super early and so far I havant needed any further treatment. So thanks for going public with your story, you are saving countless lives.
My situation was a bit different to Petes. There were no super obvious signs at first which is why I put off going to the doctor. There was just a small difference in size that wasn't there before. The doctors weren't certain it was tumor at first so they tracked it (blood and ultrasound) for about 9 months before the decision was made to remove it. This was 18 months ago now and since then my blood levels have returned to normal. I can't remember the names but my tumor was the lessor aggressive of the two types which is why it was growing slowly. I would highly recommend going to the doctor to get them checked out if you notice anything change. Growing, shrinking, lumps, hardness etc. and keep checking them regularly.
I'm battling leukemia right now. Had to move away from home for 120 days to get a bone marrow transplant with tons of chemo. I feel your pain. Thanks for the vid, made me want to fight a little harder.

I am doing 3 rounds of BEP as well. Last week(my first week) I can describe the same feelings. If you ever wanna talk man I think we can help each other out and maybe do a meet up one day. We are gonna beat this man. Crazy how we are on the same cycle at the same time. I did my one week appointment the other day and have one next week. I feel so much better now. Was diagnosed last April. Went through the same treatment of BEP. Got the good news I was cancer free last June. Got a CT Scan last week and it came out clean. 10 months cancer free and counting🙏🏻

Actually I didn't do rad or chemo lol. It was completely up to me... my specialist didn't think I really had too. But he gave me the options anyway should i want them.

Very true. He had a rare type of pancreatic cancer that has a high cure rate with chemo. His vegan diet did absolutely nothing. I am a cancer survivor (a plant based athlete, actually) who survived due to chemo. I personally knew people who hesitated to take conventional medicine and tried to cure their cancer with things like juicing or certain fruits and vegetables. Not one of those people is alive today. Some of them had a very good chance of cure with conventional medicine. It would be interesting to see how many of the cancer experts in this comments section would rely on a vegan diet to 'reverse' their cancer if they were honestly faced with that decision.
@Michael Lam: Steve Jobs was a Fructarian. Research shows that most beneficial compunds against cancer comes from green leafy greens, spices and herbs and fruits also but mostly berries. Fruits in general are for sure beneficial but do not have an antioxidant activity and compounds by themselves high enough to fight a disease like Pancreatic cancer. Also if you read his life and if you research what oncologist and medical researchers said about Job's cancer and causes, he had always intense stress during his adult life due to his job and this may have played a major role in its growth. Often he did not sleep for days or just few hours at night for weeks. Studies done taking into account his tumor grow factor shows that the initial tumor started when he was only 25 years old and many scientists and researches believes he kept the tumor in check without much grow for so long thanks to his diet. Pancreatic cancer kills people in few years and I know for experience because my father died of pancreatic cancer and he died within 3 years of discovery. Also Been Plant based or vegan or vegetarian does not give you immortality but lessen by at least 30% the chance of contracting these diseases. In the case of Heart disease the percentages of protection are much higher then the one for cancer and it all depends how much Fat someone introduces with his vegan, Plant Based, vegetarian diet. A lifestyle Full in leafy greens, whole grains and legumes and Low in Fat and without oil seems the most protective for all kind of diseases but it is also the most strict. I study Nutrition and Nutrigenomics for over 15 years, my wife she is a doctor and her family has a clinic in Japan of internal medicine. Looking at patients behavior there the healthier people with cleaner colons without polips of any kind, cleaner arteries and less stomach cancers are the people not eating animal products or eating them very sparingly. Also these people have overall much lower total Cholesterol (between 110mg/dl up to 150mg/dl) then omnivorous patients (generally between 150 to 220mg/dl). A single meal with Fats and cholesterol impairs artery function for days and impairment of artery function slows down oxygenation of cells disrupting them and changing their behavior originating cancer. (OTTO WARBURG J Cancer 2016; 7(7):817-822). So a diet without Fats and low in animal proteins definitely will give humans a good protection but of course will not make them immortals as other variables also may come into play like the amount of vegetable fat someone uses, the types of food and their antioxidants activity used, what spices and how much of them are used every day, how much green leafy vegetables are used and what types etc etc. A vegan individual can well eat 10 vegan donuts for lunch and dinner and still calls himself a vegan so as you can see diets on a single individual case must be well analyzed as they can be beneficial against cancer or cancer causing even if they are called both vegan foods.

I was in remission, but I am now out of remission, but I'm still fighting. It's very hard to live my new normal life as they say, but I still do it. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm not sure if you'll actually see this, but I just turned 23 and was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of this year. Before all, I'm spanish (from Spain) and I want to apologize myself about my bad english but I want to explain you my "little" story: I was diagnosed with "acute lymphoblastic leukemia" at the age of 14 (about 7 years ago), just 4 months later my father died of "influenza AH1N1" (yeah, the swine flu). I must admit that was catastrophic to me, it was very, VERY hard to assimilate just by myself, I was completely destroyed. But then, on the edge of the abyss... I realised that I could beat that, win that, EXTERMINATE that only if I wanted, just believing in myself and my strengh. I was taking chemotherapy about 2 years in a row, 1-2 months completely isolated on a specific room. I couldn't go outside, even open the window, even open the door. My only way was walking around the room with a big machine connected to me because I needed to don't get my muscles atrophied. I was 14 and it was very difficult to me... A lot of chemotherapy, with bald head, too thin, and a large etc. I only wanted to be with my friends, on the school or simply playing games. I couldn't. I needed to beat the cancer. So I did. I did it with so much effort and perseverance as I could. Here I am. Alive. I'm now 21 (in a few months I will be 22) and I feel great. Not physically because chemoterapy destroyed my entire body, but mentally I feel fulfilled. Because I beated cancer with only 14-16. I know doctors did too much to get myself healthy, but if you say "I CAN DO IT" to your mind, you will have the 70% of the situation succeded. Your attitude is what matters most than everything. That's why I know you can do this. If I could do it that young, you can now, and better. Just keep moving forward, don't look behind you. You need to keep your strengh to win this battle, and the war. Keep your attitude as you showed in this video and I'll swear that you can win, by my experience. I did a search for cancer vlog fitness to see who else is out there. I too am a fitness professional (instructor of aerobics yoga Pilates etc) and also a physical ed teacher. I am fighting colon cancer and have been in chemo treatment for a year. Many have encouraged me to do a vlog or blog to update those who know me and to also inspire others who may not know me but are looking for guidance. As I watched you I felt the exact same way. You have inspired me to move forward in sharing my experience with others. So many cancer patients do not understand the value of movement through their battle. Hope the fight continues going well Pete, went through my 4 cycles of BEC fall of '13, most screwed up thing is that the 15 minute Bleomycin drip once a week was a bigger drain than the 5 days of 6 hours each with the eto/cysplatin. It's all draining, makes you feel like you're a shell of what you should be but it's worth it, was finally labeled as cured at MDA Anderson in Houston, TX earlier this year after 3 years of monitoring/tests. Glad to see others have the same positivity, it's contagious especially seeing the kind of people you meet in chemo. There's quite a few people in worse shape than you even at the lowest and it affects everyone around you, doubt you ever see this but keep up the fight man, stay headstrong and positive it'll get better soon.

I don't mean to ride the whole "change your diet train" but you should really look into CBD OIL. I personally know many people having there cancer go into remission after taking it for a couple months. just a thought without side-effects. I don't know about going into remission but it is great for cancer patients. I'm sure he knows about it at this point though being that weed is a lot open in Canada.

Very true. He had a rare type of pancreatic cancer that has a high cure rate with chemo. His vegan diet did absolutely nothing. I am a cancer survivor (a plant based athlete, actually) who survived due to chemo. I personally knew people who hesitated to take conventional medicine and tried to cure their cancer with things like juicing or certain fruits and vegetables. Not one of those people is alive today. Some of them had a very good chance of cure with conventional medicine.
It would be interesting to see how many of the cancer experts in this comments section would rely on a vegan diet to 'reverse' their cancer if they were honestly faced with that decision.

Fruits in general are for sure beneficial but do not have an antioxidant activity and compounds by themselves high enough to fight a disease like Pancreatic cancer. Also if you read his life and if you research what oncologist and medical researchers said about Job's cancer and causes, he had always intense stress during his adult life due to his job and this may have played a major role in its growth. Often he did not sleep for days or just few hours at night for weeks. Studies done taking into account his tumor grow factor shows that the initial tumor started when he was only 25 years old and many scientists and researches believes he kept the tumor in check without much grow for so long thanks to his diet. Pancreatic cancer kills people in few years and I know for experience because my father died of pancreatic cancer and he died within 3 years of discovery. Also Been Plant based or vegan or vegetarian does not give you immortality but lessen by at least 30% the chance of contracting these diseases. In the case of Heart disease the percentages of protection are much higher then the one for cancer and it all depends how much Fat someone introduces with his vegan, Plant Based, vegetarian diet. A lifestyle Full in leafy greens, whole grains and legumes and Low in Fat and without oil seems the most protective for all kind of diseases but it is also the most strict. I study Nutrition and Nutrigenomics for over 15 years, my wife she is a doctor and her family has a clinic in Japan of internal medicine. Looking at patients behavior there the healthier people with cleaner colons without polips of any kind, cleaner arteries and less stomach cancers are the people not eating animal products or eating them very sparingly. Also these people have overall much lower total Cholesterol (between 110mg/dl up to 150mg/dl) then omnivorous patients (generally between 150 to 220mg/dl). A single meal with Fats and cholesterol impairs artery function for days and impairment of artery function slows down oxygenation of cells disrupting them and changing their behavior originating cancer. (OTTO WARBURG J Cancer 2016; 7(7):817-822). So a diet without Fats and low in animal proteins definitely will give humans a good protection but of course will not make them immortals as other variables also may come into play like the amount of vegetable fat someone uses, the types of food and their antioxidants activity used, what spices and how much of them are used every day, how much green leafy vegetables are used and what types etc etc. A vegan individual can well eat 10 vegan donuts for lunch and dinner and still calls himself a vegan so as you can see diets on a single individual case must be well analyzed as they can be beneficial against cancer or cancer causing even if they are called both vegan foods.

Hello, Pete. Before all, I'm spanish (from Spain) and I want to apologize myself about my bad english but I want to explain you my "little" story:
I was diagnosed with "acute lymphoblastic leukemia" at the age of 14 (about 7 years ago), just 4 months later my father died of "influenza AH1N1" (yeah, the swine flu). I must admit that was catastrophic to me, it was very, VERY hard to assimilate just by myself, I was completely destroyed. But then, on the edge of the abyss... I realised that I could beat that, win that, EXTERMINATE that only if I wanted, just believing in myself and my strengh. I was taking chemotherapy about 2 years in a row, 1-2 months completely isolated on a specific room. I couldn't go outside, even open the window, even open the door. My only way was walking around the room with a big machine connected to me because I needed to don't get my muscles atrophied. I was 14 and it was very difficult to me... A lot of chemotherapy, with bald head, too thin, and a large etc. I only wanted to be with my friends, on the school or simply playing games. I couldn't. I needed to beat the cancer. So I did. I did it with so much effort and perseverance as I could. Here I am. Alive. I'm now 21 (in a few months I will be 22) and I feel great. Not physically because chemoterapy destroyed my entire body, but mentally I feel fulfilled. Because I beated cancer with only 14-16. I know doctors did too much to get myself healthy, but if you say "I CAN DO IT" to your mind, you will have the 70% of the situation succeded. Your attitude is what matters most than everything.
That's why I know you can do this. If I could do it that young, you can now, and better. Just keep moving forward, don't look behind you. You need to keep your strengh to win this battle, and the war. Keep your attitude as you showed in this video and I'll swear that you can win, by my experience.

Hope the fight continues going well Pete, went through my 4 cycles of BEC fall of '13, most screwed up thing is that the 15 minute Bleomycin drip once a week was a bigger drain than the 5 days of 6 hours each with the eto/cysplatin. It's all draining, makes you feel like you're a shell of what you should be but it's worth it, was finally labeled as cured at MDA Anderson in Houston, TX earlier this year after 3 years of monitoring/tests. Glad to see others have the same positivity, it's contagious especially seeing the kind of people you meet in chemo. There's quite a few people in worse shape than you even at the lowest and it affects everyone around you, doubt you ever see this but keep up the fight man, stay headstrong and positive it'll get better soon.

I have seen her go through hell and back and fight for her life. Watching this video teared me right up. I don't mean to ride the whole "change your diet train" but you should really look into CBD OIL. I personally know many people having there cancer go into remission after taking it for a couple months. just a thought without side-effects. PLEASE EVERYONE UP VOTE THIS SO HE CAN JUST GIVE IT A SHOT!!!! or atleast read it as a consideration.
I don't know about going into remission but it is great for cancer patients. I'm sure he knows about it at this point though being that weed is a lot open in Canada.
