I Played hooky to catch my "first" fish in Virginia

From April 24, 2024: I really don't entertain the idea that I will EVER catch a fish in EVERY state of the United States. But I at least would like to try. Having caught many, many flounder in the inland bays of Virginia as a kid with my grandfather, this state has already been checked off. But since my recent rededication to fishing, over the last 6 or 8 years, I had NOT caught anything within Virginia waters. Today I took a day off of school to right that wrong. I visited Ruffin's Pond outside of Fredericksburg, VA and I didn't get a whole of bites. But I tried to stay positive!
