Hi guys I bought a violin for my daughter in a second hand store it had a German bow. They wanted 120 dollars at the musician store just to fix the bow. No professional has seen the violin it's on my channel could you take a look. I watched your video 5 years old. My violin has ebony. It's a one piece. I don't know anything about violins and I have no idea where this violin was manufactured because there's no label the bridge has Dresden. If I was to take a guess I would say it is also German I will subscribe❤
Hi there, it's impossible to be certain by looking at your posted vid but it looks like a pretty modern Chinese student violin (perhaps made in 90s). The fingerboard and pegs look like dyed pear wood and the chin rest and tailpiece look like ebony. I haven't seen the bow but generally, the bows that are sold with these levels of instruments are not worth re-hairing and usually, the most cost-effective thing to do, is to just buy a new bow. New student-quality Brazilwood or Carbon fiber bows are usually pretty inexpensive. However, like I said, I'd have to hold the violin and look in the F-hole to know for sure. Just be aware that any label can be put in a violin and they generally don't mean a whole log, unless they are antiques.
Thank you so much for the video.
Always glad to help!
@@KennedyViolins Looking forward to play your violin. Won't be long now before I get it.
@@SandraMelodiyaa Cool. Just let us know if you have any questions once you get it. 👍
