Big thanks for a great scripted video with no fluff and to the point! I also like that you mention other sources for the technique you’re demonstrating - that’s a sign of a true professional teacher, very few do this on UA-cam AFAIK. Thanks again, will seriously consider the paid subscription to your course content. 👍😀
Questions, The mastering promotion, will that include mixing the vocals or is it just sending one full song without sending it as stems? If that makes sense
Thanks for watching and reaching out - so we're only offering stereo mastering services at the moment. It won't include mixing the vocal stem separately, only mastering the collective stereo mix
Thank you so much for this. These are things that us amateurs just don’t get and we just turn on and off stuff looking for the best sound without knowing why, this correlation trick helps a lot. I hope someday you explain why, when you use AutoTune or Elastic Audio in ProTools, the sound source shifts from mono to dancing around left and right, I still don’t know what that is, and based on this video, I don’t think it’s phasing. Hopefully I’ll learn from you in another awesome video like this! Thank you for helping us!
Thanks for watching! Great to hear the video offered some helpful info. As for autotune, this shouldn't happen unless you're using a mono to stereo insert. Not sure why elastic audio would do this either, but now I'm curious haha.
I discovered high pass filters and digital limiters are effecting phase. It's not a huge difference yet there is an impact on audible sound. I'm bouncing my mixes to tape and NOT then using a digital limiter.
Are we allowed to use our mixes (of the multitracks) and masters from the educational platform in our portfolio if we clearly state that it isn't the official version? Thanks!
To be honest, I'm not sure how this ties in with the contract we have with these artists. To get a better answer, I'd recommend reaching out to Steve: steve@sageaudio.com
You should refrain from using numerical terms when discussing waves. You said "I have 1 20 hz wave..." I thought u meant i have 120 hz wave" say single 20 hz wave instead... to avoid confusion. Just a thought.
This guy is a born teacher. So easy to follow. Thanks
most comprehensive material i've encountered on phase ever. thanks a lot for this increadibly useful video.

Awesome! Glad to hear it came at the right time
Sometimes the stars just align (no pun) as I was only having this conversation yesterday with a student. Great video.
That's awesome! Thanks for watching
Great video, thanks so much! Phase has always confused me. This really helps.

Thanks for that ❤
Of course, thanks for watching!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I heard phase can also be used in a creative way, would you mind doing a video about it?
Sure! Thanks for watching
I wish we could do this phase "fix" in batch processing mode. Now you have to do it manually file by file
