By how many % is kinras deal more damage from leviathan / tzogvin? By the way the leviathan set in your written build shows "Adds 1937 Weapon Critical" as 5 pc set bonus, that's different from eso-set site. Which one is correct?
Your videos, as always, give us what we need without any extra padding or fluff. Your original video on the 1-bar stamplar allowed me to crack 40k dps for the first time. It was a big breakthrough for me at the time because it taught me how to do basic light attack weaving which was a skill I had a lot of trouble with. Until then, I was reluctant to sign up to trials because my dps had been so low.
Hopefully this helps me, as I have only one character, a CP 163 Dark Elf Stamina Templar and I don’t think I even knew to have my CP abilities slotted. Thanks for posting this guide, where even a noob like me can kinda get it.
Great build, similar to the one by Skinny Cheeks (although he suggests Relequen over Kinras). After a bit of practice, I was able to do a 95k parse with it. PC makes things a lot easier though, with the GCD bar, etc. Thanks for another great video HTM!
I love this build, but by level 25 I had to turn him vampire. Just missed being one and I wanted the spirit cost reduction and stage 4 invisibility. The necromancer/vampire build wasn't as fun to play as the Templar is. Not sure I'll slot any vampire abilities except for maybe the ultimate and/or blood mist. If you feel like making a stamina Vampire/Templar build I would love to see what you come up with. Great build and video as always. The written web version is a great quick reference while working on the character.
Love the build and I'm a main Stamplar here. Just wanted to share my build. I've gone through many different sets running trials, vet dungeons, arenas and most of the solo content, but I've settled with this set-up. Briarheart on the weapons (daggers and bow) and jewelry and 5-piece Aegis Caller on the body (solid proc set and really helps with AoE damage, trash pulls and boss fights as well). I am also using Selenes for my monster set, but I was thinking of making a change. I've varied between Selenes and Storm Fist, but I think I'm going to go off-meta and use Iceheart for the added survivability, extra AoE and nerd factor, since it's one of my favourite monster sets. Spells Front bar: Jabs, Shrouded Daggers (for the weapon damage buff), Deadly Cloak, Camouflaged Hunter, Beast Trap and Flawless Dawn Breaker or Rend Backbar - Extended Riitual, Restoring Focus, Repentance, Vigor, Caltrops and a flex slot ulti of either Barrier or Remembrance.
On the back bar, I'm running Hasty Prayer, literally. Pretty much just for the Major Expedition (It's also a decent burst Heal) to stack on Hasty Retreat, and I'm a Wood Elf (Penetration) So, even crouched, I'm pretty quick. This lets me keep up with the group, and land that Charged Power Attack from Stealth, which gives a burst of damage/tops off my Spamina going into my rotation.

Hi HTM, great video, I'm curious about the decision to slot Camo Hunter (9:10) as a passive for the one bar. You are already getting Major Savagery from Biting Jabs, and I believe Kinras's gives you Minor Berserk. Those are the two main benefits of Camo Hunter, so that pretty much leaves you with only the 3% boost from the Slayer passive in the Fighter's Guild line. Maybe that slot could instead be used for something like Power of the Light for some burst damage, or Razor Caltrops for Major Breach, or even a different passive like Hircine's Fortitude (from Werewolf) for permanent Major Brutality which could save you some money on the potions.
Funny you say this as I was looking at this last night and I swapped it out for Hircines for MB as well as to level my WW skills. PvP I'll go caltrops.
I’ve been thinking about a build idea, but I have no idea how to try builds out really, and it’d be a healer who uses stuff like Lotus Flower, Siphon Spirit, Blood Altar, Mend spirit, the Draugr’s Rest set, and then some sort of DPS set as well so you essentially have a healer who operates off having a dps rotation with maybe like one burst heal, or ult heal on a second bar for emergencies. I don’t know how good the healing would be, or what combinations of those kinds of skills would be best, but it’d be a fun idea. I was thinking of doing a “Captain” build where you basically heal through that, and have some little mini-DPS and debuff combos, cause I feel like sometimes a pure healer isn’t needed (and I’m a healer, sometimes I feel like all my bars are wasted)
I tried this out, only real change I made is using shadow Instead of thief, leviathan bc I don't have kinra, and I used toothrow until I get monster set. I also use the turn evil morph for the fighters guild skill, the fear and longer duration are good for mob fights and less time recasting/sustaining
Templar frustrates me so in the game. It's the one way you get to kind of use spears, and I enjoy the throws, and jab and such. However, I hate to spam jabs. I know it's popular but for me it's like they put this delicious cake before me and then put an impregnable glass case around it!
Out of curiosity would you still rank magplar>stamplar like in your recent “Best Solo Class” video or does this stamplar build help edge out that spot?

It’s a pretty good buff if your healer is not providing it. Also don’t forget the 3% weapon damage from fighters guild passives. But you can also run echoing vigor, spear shards etc for more group utility
Imperial will drop you by about 7% in total dps at the highest end of efficiency. So this presumes you're hitting that 110k parse, you'll be hitting like 101k instead. Overall, if you're hitting these numbers you're able to play through all the content except trifecta runs (.01% of the player base) and frankly you won't be allowed into those groups with a plar anyway since they want other classes for those runs. :) So you're fine.
Just started in eso, the build looks cool but I’m not quite sure how to get most of the abilities you have listed? I went with the same stuff your website says but the same options aren’t available. Do I need to get new gear or something?
It’s because skills morph and change names. If you have a skill slotted, and you gain XP, that skill will eventually reach stage 4 and you can spend another skill point to morph it.

I feel like Camouflaged Hunter is unnecessary, at least on the one bar setup there should be better options. All you are getting from it is 5% extra damage (and only if hitting from a flank) - you already get major savagery from biting jabs and it doesn't stack.
Each fighters guild skill gives you 3% weapon damage passively from the slayer passive which is why it’s there, but you could run other skills like power of the light or resolving vigor depending on group needs

No, harpooners is useless in PvP because you’ll have your stacks down pretty much all the time. Plus if you don’t have at least one tanky set in PvP you’re going to get your ass wrecked in a fight really quickly.

Just once I'd love for one of these "guides" to show leveling gear/skills and etc, not just expect everyone to have all this gear and end game content unlike players on the test server.
Leveling goes by so fast you don’t need more guides than the ones already made, devoting specific gear to leveling is a bad idea too since you can’t use it / shouldn’t use it once you get to 50 and start leveling cp

If you want to find something now, then I could recommend some things, but the reason why people recommend you hit 150 is so you don't waste time and money as you'll out level your items fast. When you're able I'd recommend Hundings Rage and Spriggan's Thorns with the following monster sets: Storm Fist or Selenes. I've posted a comment on this already, but I've mained a Stamplar for a very long time and have gone through many sets. I started off with the above sets, but then I swapped Spriggan's Thorns for Briarheart Set which gives great crit and self healing. I then swapped Hundings Rage for Vicious Ophidian which u can get in Hel Ra Citadel in Craglorn trial. That helped me alot with sustain. But once I mastered my character, I didn't need it anymore, so I eventually found Aegis Caller which I use now instead of Vicious Ophidian and it's great :)

Algorithm check
1 bar not working 21k dps normal dummy 30k trail
But I'll try!!Daggerfall forever!!😎
Salient!
Can I be a high elf for this
Just once I'd love for one of these "guides" to show leveling gear/skills and etc, not just expect everyone to have all this gear and end game content unlike players on the test server.
agreed, I am level 45 and am trying to figure out what I should be working toward so I don't have to keep respeccing
Leveling goes by so fast you don’t need more guides than the ones already made, devoting specific gear to leveling is a bad idea too since you can’t use it / shouldn’t use it once you get to 50 and start leveling cp
@@jamesfromthecomputer CP is account wide correct ?? let me just be clear This comment is meant for those of us that already have a main, Side note you come off as offended in your statement. If that is the case I would suggest some anger management class's if not then that is my mistake and I'm sorry for assuming that.
@@Cam-wi3tp Don't worry bro. Use anything you come across as it'll work fine up until CP 150 (item equipments reach max at CP 150).
When I was pre CP 150 I honestly just used whatever I found that was better than what I was currently wearing.
Yet another comment to feed the YT algorithm
does anyone have a build for a magicka templar dps that has just reached cp160? i have no clue about a good skill setup and rotation etc
I'm a full Pvp player: Are there for real people who don't want to switch bars?!
I'm a full PvE player so far and I'll take a third bar if they let me. lol
Yes, half the time when I switch I either lag or don't switch bars.
I’d love a few more skills on each bar we have tbh
man hack all i wanna know is what the vigor hit for on that build 7k wd wtflol
I main a fucking magblade. They say it's the toughest class to do, but I tend to think it is because of the fucking lag in the fucking game. Swapping bars is not smooth, and the rest of rotation is just one hiccup after another. So fuck magblade. I'm going to templar
stamplar
How the F are your hits hitting this hard. I’ve built this and it’s simply not doing this damage.
bro same. lol. ive been grinding just wanting to see 10k crits. ive got briarthorn/hundings. the biggest crit ive seen is just over 10k. most of the time my spear spam sits around 7-9k. vids i watch. they hit 18k
Make sure you are using the right parsing dummy it really does matter. I hit 91k dps and I'm level 1000 and when I was around 850 and in the 900s I was still hitting 80k to 85k. My bitting jabs were hitting for about 12k at that level now they hit for about 16k but I run deadly and Leviathan once I get my other sets I should hit more... I'm also on xbox one.
Are you testing on a Trials Dummy? It makes a big difference!
advertises "one bar build" then uses both bars on parse?
*scampers off to make yet another toon*

Cat!
might be if training dummy is all you fight in this game. other than that 1s channel ability is pretty clunky and feels so restrictive like you play old style mmo. it doesnt look cool, it doesnt feel cool, if dont think so then try it out

I have a had a very hard time getting into this game.
The combat and the classes are such shit and the game looks terrible.
I MUST be missing something.
I feel like it isn't easy to get into if you don't play with friends. If you play alone it is uphill.
bad
