Final Sign Off for Police Officer Lt. Lee Raines

Lt. Lee Raines announced his retirement from the Spartanburg Police Department. His final sign off was on 12/22/2021. Thank you for 28 years of service!
For more than two decades, Police Lieutenant Lee Raines patrolled the streets of downtown Spartanburg. As he rode his bicycle through the core of the city dressed in blue, he also peddles ideas to improve the community, and to help downtown business owners thrive and survive during challenging times.

I was blessed to be able to give my father his final call after 32 years of service. I was in nursing school at the time but I knew the people in dispatch from being a deputy coroner. It was 3rd time I heard my father cry.
