Frank Sinatra, Jr. never got the attention his singing deserved because his father was the greatest legend ever, However Junior was spectacular as well. Its ashamed he passed on so early in life. RIP Frank Sinatra, Jr. you were great!
He was 72. I wouldn't call that early. His dad died at 82, so I guess relatively speaking it was early.
OMG sad to hear he passed
Unbelievable that nobody inherited their entertainment business!
Maravilloso. Què PENA ! No se le dio el lugar que merecìa. QEPD

He looks So much like his father and sounds like him. It is amazing!!
After listening to Frank Sinatra Jr. when he was very young and in his early 20's, then lustening to him at his peak, his voice matured and he got really good and I think he was good enough to being comparable his father. Such a tragedy that he died relatively young.
Seeing Frank Jr with Bill Miller at the piano playing One For My Baby really touched me deep Inside. Can’t even put it in words! Absolutely beautiful, perfection
It’s hard to live up to Frank Sinatra . Frank Jr has his own unique voice.I hear hints of Frank i his voice. Bravo
So much like your Dad....Love it!
I KNEW FRANK JR AND FRANK THEY WERE A DRUMMERS DREAM TO BACK THEM. THE BEST OF THE BEST AS FOR JR. HE WAS A TRUE MASTER AND EVERYTHING HE DID A JAZZ SINGER AND A GOOD GUY AND LOVEING PERSON WHAT LUCK FOR ME TO KNOW THEM AS FAMILY......................PHILLY
You are a fortunate man indeed Phil. From a jazz trumpet player in Australia. My sister Susie used to correspond with you a few years ago.
He is so good. I think he sounds like his father!
Got to hear Frank Jr. three times in public -- from a restaurant bar and lounge to the Pacific Amphitheater -- and always enjoyed his unique, yet so familiar voice.
Very similar voice,I thought his father's was deeper and with a bigger range
I miss Jr. Eternally underrated talent.
I was very fortunate to have been in the company of both Frank senior and Frank Jr for many years, there has lots of accolades you have about Mr Sinatra Sr but I would like to mention that Frank Jr was extremely talented ,as singer songwriter, and incredible knowledge of his profession, Frank Jr was underrated, if you have change to go on Amazon and purchased his CD that Frank Jr recorded is called That face , you could appreciate Frank Juniors Talent, He passed away to early in his Prime. RIP
Damn…❤️
My wife and I saw him in concert doing essentially the same show. Front row.
It was fantastic. Sort of like watching the ghost of his dad. Incredible. Frank Junior was quite a talent in his own right.
This was very underrated. I feel bad for this guy. I saw him live at the Blue Note in The Village in New York around 2006 and he was amazing. The problem is that everybody compares him to the big Frank and of course nobody can come even close. But as a trained musician, and a competent singer, he was really good at what he was doing. RIP Frank Jr.
That's true. I was one of who used to despise him.
He was one of the nicest men I was lucky enough to call a true friend...
@@hudsony777 I think he sounds a lot like him.
@@kylethedalek True, but there's a difference. I think as he aged and his voice deepened he did. When he did his own material he had his own sound, but there's no question he's his father's son.
Wow! He is excellent!!!!! Wonderful tone, vibrato, and power. It is truly a wild experience to hear and see him sing. I had never seen him perform before.

Thank you! •~•™
What a repertoire !!! Thank You for this useful indexing !!!
@@luishumbertovega3900 It must have been exhausting to sing.
Bravo, magnificent performance of the great son of the "Blue Eyes" maestro !!!
WOW-what is so poignant is that this could also be one of the last performance by pianist Bill Miller-"Suntan Charlie" as FS called Bill-he was 91 when he suffered a heart attack while on tour with FSJr while on this Canadian tour and later died-Bill Miller of course was FS' pianist for almost 40 years. He plays piano on "One For My Baby" opening the Sinatra Sings Sinatra portion.
I’ve been singing Sinatra songs for 27 years now. I hope to make it big ASAP.
Mr. Sinatra Jr. was an under rated performer, may he rest in peace
Saw him in about 2010.. he knew what he was doing out there.. we loved him..
RIP Frankie.... 😢 The world lost a great singer. I'm so sad right now.
Yes. I never realized just how good he was until I saw some of these videos.
Wonderful! Superb renditions. Loved it! Pure awesomeness. Frank Jr. is amazing ... a true master of song and music! He has a unique style and a relaxed presence that is very appealing. Love his voice and perfect delivery. Like his father he is incomparable. Thank you very much for sharing.
Frank Jr ended two songs Put your Dreams away and the other was My Way 😢 Outstanding performance RIP
If you think he is just the son of Frank Sinatra and compare is one thing but not to forget how much work he has done himself and touring and performing with his father and the vast experience he has
A 1-derful singer, excellent entertainer, pianist and bandleader, Frank Jr was a fan of big bands and advocate for orchestra musicians, something he frequently highlights in this marvelous concert. He never got the credit he deserved, carrying such a burden, that last name, being the son of a legend. Nevertheless, as you can acknolewdge enjoying this video he was deservedly appreciated as a great artist in his own right.
He was just so good and so knowledgeable of everything musical. I saw him several times and nothing but a great show and such respect for his dad and the music.
Frank, back swingin' in Canada ! My very dear, generous and caring friend, known since we were 'kids' - Vancouver, B.C. Canada He is surely swingin' again with Sr. on the next plane. The music stays with us. Rest Well, my friend ! ~ R
This concert is a treat for fans of Frank Sr like me. The genes of great performance were certainly passed on.
if you close your eyes, yes you think you hear " Frank Sinatra"....fantastic Concert....
What a magnificent brilliant performance 👏 I loved every moment of it ❤ Joe Fitzpatrick
I love his rendition for "The way you look tonight"
Underrated. Eternally underrated. I wish I could have seen him live.
Me too.
I was privileged to see him in Chicago in concert on a few occasions. And in 1973, I believe it was, Even saw him at a FREE concert he gave. He was as good a singer as his dad. Only, for whatever reason, he didn’t have that unexplainable x-factor, that spark.
@@cynthiarosiek4098 He had other skills. He was a multi-instrumentalist, a phenomenal arranger of music, and even wrote a lot of his own standards. Writing for the Songbook is extremely difficult. I always thought Frank Jr was quietly legendary. He helped Seth MacFarlane with his singing, and Seth returned the favor by introducing him to a wider audience.
@@baxatakbaxatak2014 I agree, he was multi talented as an arranger, conductor, etc. I was addressing his vocal performing which lacked that je ne sais quoi that his dad always had.
@@cynthiarosiek4098 Yes, that is true. You could still hear his dad in his voice though.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Fantastic. I have never listened to a lot of Cinatra Jr. but this was phenomenal
daddy sinatra was the best of all times in great american music !!!
I have always liked Frank, Jr.'s voice! His looks are exactly like Frank, Sr. I love the songs he sings. Good choices. I am sorry he is no longer with us. I think he could have been a much bigger "star", but with his father being around longer than him, he always seem to come into a close second. But, in my book he was the tops and just as great as his father in the singing department. Thanks for the music! SYLVIA!
A summer wind; was the song that polled me in to jazz I've heard it From Mr. Frank Sinatra; and I fell madly in love with jazz!
Just like looking and hearing his dad sing again.
He sings well, effortless.
1-derful singer !!!
not surprising, he had the best teacher in the world !
Interesting to hear him doing this arrangement of "Surrey with the Fringe on Top", which the elder Sinatra attempted but never finished late in his career.
Wow I've never knew; I mean I didn't know Frank Jr. Could sing like that, he is as good as he Dad!
No. He’s not. Not even close. But his good in his own right. Leave it at that. You can’t compare anyone the Sinatra, Sr. It’s Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and then everybody else.
@@rt8532It is.
This is amazing! And on top of that, he’s doing songs that his father never did live/ for TV like Surrey With The Fringe On Top, Let’s Fall In Love, and French Foreign Legion etc.
He is just as good!!!
You are a 1000 percent correct.
Thanks so much for this! Can you please post a playlist?
Wonderful concert!!!!!
Frank Jr. had undeniably talent. We saw him at Potawatomi in Milwaukee. Great voice! Not fair to compare him to his Father. That is a really high bar that probably only Elvis or Dean Martin ever reached.
RIP FRANKIE BOY! YOU WERE ONE OF A KIND!
BRAVO FRANK JR. CIAO DA FRED MILANO JAZZ. ITALY, BYS, SALUTI
"Coffee" was brilliant. Really enjoying all of the concert. Greatly admire his own repertoire or what I believe it to be, and songs his father made famous. I think Jr. does NY NY superior to Dad's.
My company was the last one to produce Frank Sinatra Jr with Jerry Lewis the story starts off like this he was in Miami at Adrienne Art center did it show sold out over 3,000 people the next state we were going out to Daytona 500 we had a theater down there to do Jerry opened up to his 30 minutes then Frank Jr came on he did one song he did two songs the second song he began to feel his chest he had a massive heart attack on stage and he passed on at 72 that's a true story enjoy the show
Good bye Frank Jr.
This is 2004/2006 Bill Miller Passed summer 2006
Frank Jr. was an amazing talented musician- he knew music, instruments, and arranging!
His Dad was always begging him to come “back” and be his (music) Director. Frank Jr. could do and manage it ALL.
Obviously, Frank Sr. knew talent when he saw it!
No tiene mala voz y swing..Le doy un notable..Y su voz me gusta!!??😊
Looks a lot like his father ...excellent pipes 😊😊😊
Nice music and frank ,song
fr sinatra jr voice was just like frank sinatra singing... from the basement...with the door shut...
Damn Good! Especially performing w/the name sake Sinatra. Dad is proud
Excellent vocal, I don't hear much of his father, the phrasing is very same though.
I'm drinking 🍸 Gatorade ...sometimes, you need a gator 🐊🐊🐊
23:32 recording is probably from 2000 or 2001? Uploader guessed that it is 2006 or 2007. Unless that was part of the original song but I doubt it
Was Johnny Madrid playing lead trumpet on this gig? (Street of Dreams)
❤❤❤
Definitely his fathers son! ❤❤🎶🎶
It’s amazing in his later years how he started to look more and more like his dad. I had a crush 💜 on him back when I was a teen. Saw him in supper clubs twice with my parents.
My God must be so hard to be Old Blue Eyes son ...
❤
His dad is an extremely act to follow.
But Jr. did follow with panache.
wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
CLASS !!!!!!!!!! JR, YOU STOOD ALONE, GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
💓💋
A fine singer in his own right. Just not quite the timbre of the old man...
Even he is not great or successful as his Father at least he is successful on his own his way.
never as good as daddy but not bad !!
I've always though Frank Jr. sounded more like Mel Torme than his father.
Total agree
Xf espliken.....el el hijo d Frank Sinatra ? 😮
Not too bad
So good
Oh dear, Frank Jr sings well, effortless I can see.
Sorry, not even close. Please don't compare him to his dad.........p l e a s e.
He had a fair voice to work with, though a bit nasal at times. Problem was, he just wasn't a very good singer. He sang off key ( mostly flat but also sharp ) and would hit a right note usually on just the last word of a line....not a good singing attribute. He also never opened his voice up and showed a full voice or powerful voice....even when punctuating a powerful lyric. Finally, he lacked charisma and energy and just kind of said the lyrics with little personality, attitude, emotional dynamics etc., etc. Had a slightly higher pitched voice than Frank Sr., but not really important. Anyhow, RIP to you sir. You died too young.
There are many of his songs here on YT that contradict all of what you've written. Jr. also approached song differently than his father. He had strong jazz elements in his phrasing.
What makes you so knowledgable? It isn't worth contradicting your nonsense.
Not sure what you're talking about. He made this song his own, brilliantly: ua-cam.com/video/wF5Et6LME4U/v-deo.html&lc=UgyDhR0lcCX-DUqYdMh4AaABAg.9YUjXxJJxV99YsyvN_QUHL
@@David53D yes, nonsense indeed...........
Y'a du sinatra
My god it's Sinatra. Alive & fat. Elvis, is in the wings..
He lacked charm.
Open your eyes.
I can almost smell the cigarettes and carpet dry cleaning chemicals from a run down hotel in the 90s. Just awful music.
Bro stfu, go and so some nerdy things, go eat insects (common thing in your country) or at least learn how to write "Venezolanos" because you can't even do that.
Go to hell!
Your issue is that you have no taste for quality music.
Looked freaking terrible....
No.
Not to Good at all.
