- A music teacher is in love with Helen, one of his students, but she rejects him. In his anger he joins a communist group who plan to blow up a rich capitalist's house. When he realizes it's Helen's house, he tries to stop the plan.

I'm a bit puzzled. The titles cards refer to the young lady as 'Myrtle' but IMDB refers to her as 'Helen.' Which is it? Apparently also a prerequisite of being a Communist in the US in 1909 was to have a lot of facial hair ;-) The violin teacher, Arthur V. Johnson, appeared in over 300 silent films and also directed. Sadly, he died of tuberculosis at age 39 in 1916.
That's not a violin. It's a fiddle.

Helen, Yehudi Menuhin (on violin) and Ravi Shankar (on sitar) in the past have great cooperation! When you would hear several albums by them it will probably change (for the better) your thinking about violin... (Don't speak about sound in this film than generally.)
