This takes me waaayyy back to 96. I haven't one of those in years.
I use to do them with fish string and the same lil motor with a clothes hanger I just love the video brought back memories when I was a kid

In 94-95 I use to put 4 motors in mine when I use to build those...I use to buy from the company their defect rims and parts in bulk...I would build 5 or six cars an sell them for 45$.

I used to do this with a paper clip, that motor was in electric lollipops, we would run the paper clip through a straw and glue everything down. Lol same thing. Just touched a AA battery to make it hop

Can I replace the U-Bar with straight stock or would I be better off trimming and rebending it instead of I wanted to keep the full lift height lower?

Why won’t mine hop it just moves up?
Okay so the string that you havw is either too long or your battery is to weak, make sure the string has very little slack and make sure your using a powerful enough battery

If i get w front and back kit from hoppin hydros, can i still install the kit AND keep the interior? Or does the interior have to go?
Hmmm you might be able to fit the motor under the dash and one in the trunk

Could be a few things, either not enough power, or the string is too long and needs to be shorter

Can you put the motor in the back so you can put the interior in?
Yes actually, if you model had a interior bucket you can do that it is better explained in the instructions
If you look @ the chassis, it has holes for the strings throughout it for different positioning including the back (driver rear). If not, can always drill in, or melt in your own holes (if u don't have a drill small enough). What I have done before if I couldn't fit the motors in the trunk depending on the size of motors. I would cut out the back seat, leave the front seats in. After installing the motors I would see what parts of the back seat I would be able to build back in with motors in place. Or you can always tint/black out the rear window. ✊
If you buy this kit there is instructions on how to place the motor in the back to use with a interior, although this will only work with a single motor but you might be able to get away with putting another one under the dash or behind the firewall

What kinda battery you got?
I’m using a rechargeable battery from a rc car, a small blue 7.4 volt battery. You can also use a 6 volt lead acid

I need help with mine won’t hop it will hop once then stop
Mine was the same way sometimes the string 🧵 gets tangled up.. mostly when it hops one and then nothing else.its because it is not enough weight to bring it back down... People mostly use fishing weights to add a few ounces to the chassis.
