- This is an excerpt from the BBC TV special made by Nat King Cole on his last visit to England in 1963 titled "An Evening With Nat King Cole" featuring "Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer" backed by the Ted Heath orchestra and the Cliff Adams singers.
The special is available on video at various sources. Note that some video vendors say the special was in 1961, that is incorrect.

I wasn't born until 1965 but I grew up with Nat's music in my Grandmothers home. It's nostalgia at it's finest. Not to mention his Christmas Song is my all time fave.
I am also a 65 baby. I was the same. Grew up listening to this era.
Nice song, who wouldn't wish Summer to always be here if one could remain Young! But we grow old with time and have to live with it. This beautiful song makes me remember those summers in my early twenties. They were grand.
I always have, and always will, love! me some Nat King Cole. The man with the silky, smooth voice. There will never!!! be another one like him.

Sad to say this summer is nearly gone. A couple of weeks and it shall be cool and summer will ony be a memory. But God allowing it I expect to be here in summer 2017

Amazing that as a BBC TV special, this was filmed in colour - Obviously it was being shown to the U.S.A at some stage as most BBC programmes were filmed in black and white until about 1968. Great voice, what a sound, miles better than Sinatra.

Wonderful Nat the Best Ever loved listening to him for years
A beautiful and merry tune by Nat King Cole. I recall those summers I spent in America whilst studying in College when I hear this. Those were happy and relatively carefree days. I had to study sure but that was my only responsibility to form myself intellectually. Great days.
This is a good song and now I remember if there is a place I have been to where it is practically summer all they year is Nicaragua. The temperatures in January are 72°F to 90°F and in April the warmest the range from 75°F to 95°F. Even if it rains it is always warm.
Summer is nearly over but this merry song is good to hear and to remember those good times we had in those summers when we were young. As the song says it would be very good if we could remain in summertime of our lives forever but Autumn comes whether we like it or not.

Now it is summer it is a good song to hear. Summer's heat is here and it makes me recall so many things. This August 10t is sure hot! I only wish I could relax but have to work shortly. But a good song to hear.

They let him have his own tv show for one year....until commercial sponors like '' IVORY SOAP '' ..and white southerners demaned he be taken off the air ....even a super star like the great NAT KING COLE could survive the 1960's.
