The rain drops nonchalantly in front of you, dropping on your head.
You can feel the subtle move of a sleeve behind you, the raindrops no longer invading your space.
"And what are you doing out here?"
Kazuha's umbrella was placed over you, his hair soaking.
"You're going to get sick"
You push the umbrella back, making it so you're both covered from the weather.
"I don't mind getting wet. It's a minor inconvenience, that's all"
You'd met Kazuha a few months ago as you tried to find someone who'd take you to Inazuma.
Long story short, you and him had become quite close.
His self sacrificing nature was truly painful to the sight. That's why during these times, you had become quite protective of him.
It was your natural instinct, not something that could be explained with simple words: there was a harmed heart you had to hold close. His.
And you've just realized this as you stood face-to-face with him.
Were these friendship feelings?
"Y/n, you have a weird expression" he points out.
"Is something going through your mind?"
"Just the usual"
Was it worth telling him at all? Maybe he'd think it's... weird.
"Is that so..."
His demeanor was calm, yet his presence felt nervous for whatever reason. You never know what to expect when its him.
Your head can't reason what it is you exactly feel... it's your heart that can.
"Remember when I told you... you smell like the stars?"
Kazuha clears his throat, a certain awkwardness fluttering through the air.
"I believe your scent has dimmed a bit and... well, mixed with this world's". He looks away. "Do you mind if I, um... check you?"
"Check me?"
You weren't sure what he meanr by -checking-, yet you take your chances.
"...Alright"
The rain had ceased, so he drops his umbrella on the grass by him.
The Inazuman undecidedly grabs your shoulder with his left hand, slowly approaching his face to your neck. The touch of his makes you shiver completely.
He subtly begins to draw you closer as both your chests touch the other's, hearts beating quickly.
You feel his right hand venturing up the back of your head, lightly pressing your hair.
The other goes down from your shoulder to your waist, an erotic suggestion appearing in your mind. Something you'd usually brush off.
Somehow, the texture of his skin against yours kept you in a daze.
"You don't hate this, do you" he asks shily with a quiet tone.
"No, I don't"
There was a sudden silence. A sweet one at that.
"...then may I continue?"
You nod your head as he gently brings his lips to your neck, now holding you tighter than before.
He felt stronger than you'd imagined he was.
Kazuha was definitely feeling your body up with his.
You made sure to try and memorize everything.
From the way he touched you, to how his tongue claimed you.
He pulls away, your hands drawing back from his back. Your eyes lock, his sparkling with a sort of romantic inspiration.
There was nothing else in this world other than you two right then and there.
"I'm sorry, Y/n" he whispers. "For I couldn't contain myself"
How silly of him to apologize for that.
You take iniciative and kiss him properly. His flushed expression is more visible than before... one you'd never thought you'd see.
"You are all red, Kazuha"
He chuckles.
"You too. It's a very nice view"
He now kisses you, his tongue going in.
After leaving you with your breath short for a few seconds, his mouth curves into a smile.
"Ah...
if the thousand stars in the sky had a taste, it would be yours"

damn, the playlist starts out strong with Amatsuki's song laced with melancholy, it also fits Kazuha so well
i was just looking around for character themed playlists, and it's not something i usually do and i was really happy to chance upon this because the songs in here are more to my personal taste! i love the mix!

YALL SORRY IF THERES ANY SHE/HER PRONOUNS THAT I DIDNT NOTICE
The gentle night breeze brushed against Kazuha's face. Everyone was fast asleep, the sound of some sailors mumbling in their sleeps and light snores. The full moon floated in the never-ending night sky, full of Teyvat's beautiful stars that bared witness to the most brutal fights of the cruel world's and touching scenes. A petal, dancing along the wind arrived in front of Kazuha's eyes.
It was pink and soft, a fragrant smell as he inhaled its scent. It must've been from a cherry blossom tree, all the way from Inazuma, his origins. A splatter of dried blood stained the surface. And what came to Kazuha's mind was not fear, but an old memory, an old friend of his.
The thought of them gave him a tiny smile along with his delicate facial features, but was quickly erased.
For what you gave him were happy memories, along came...not so pleasant ones. But of course, fate was only to blame in the end. Kazuha blinked, batting his eyelashes and opened them once again to be met with the soft gaze of the moon's soft flickering light, as if it were giving permission to keep going on, to "take a trip down the memory lane."
"The stars live and die, but the moon never will, always looking over painful goodbyes and happy hellos," Kazuha said softly, his eyes shifting to the only source of light in the dark night. "I hope that one day, you will be able to take a rest."
And he closed his eyes once again, a picture of them, whose memory would always be engraved in his mind.
"Kazuha!" a smile on their face, they called Kazuha over. They were making a flower crown, tucking branches in and embedding flowers into its contents. Kazuha walked over and crouched down to meet the person's level. Kazuha gave a soft, close-eyed smile, "Are you making a flower crown, Y/N?"
Y/N beamed, "Yep! Guess who it's for!" Kazuha pondered before patting their head, "Maybe...your crush?" Y/N laughed, "Yep!" Kazuha's face looked unreadable (he had not actually expected that to be the answer).
Y/N clasped their hands together, standing up, smiling at Kazuha's reaction. Then, they squatted down and booped Kazuha on the nose. "Don't be dense, Kazuha," Y/N said, leaning in closer. "What do you mean?" Kazuha asked, looking at them as if they was a weirdo. "What are you doin-"
Kazuha was quickly interrupted as his cheeks flushed red. Y/N pecked him on the cheeks, before getting up. They grinned cheerfully. Y/N stuck their tongue out and dragged one of their eyes down with her pointer finger before bursting into a light laugh. "That's how they do it in light novels, right?"
Kazuha was still blushing when Y/N dashed off to who knows where. Kazuha placed his hand over his cheek and then quickly extracted it, turning away.
This wasn't good.
"Y/N!" Kazuha yelled as he burst the door open, a worried expression etched on his face. "Haha, don't make that face, Kazuha. You'll get wrinkles," a voice that must've been Y/N's but ultimately weaker. Kazuha rushed to the person's side in a flash of wind, placing his hand over theirs, placing a soft kiss on it.
[Name], a young person, who was so unfortunately diagnosed with an uncurable disease that would result in death as a child. They were an only child, so their parents were terribly devastated. "Mommy/daddy, daddy/mommy...what's wrong? Why-" they had asked, only to met with soft sobs and murmurs on what they would do.
That's when, at age 7, Y/N met their new younger sister. Their parents had found them on their doorstep, a wailing young baby crying in a basket. They thought it was fate.
And not surprisingly, Y/N was always placed second after that. It was as if Y/N's parents didn't want to invest any of their love into them, because it would be too painful to deal with their death afterwards. And so their sister was loved and the center of attention, as Y/N spent their days rotting away to a deadly illness.
Y/N was really jealous. Of course. And they grew up like that, the only thing they did in their life consisting of eating, staring out her bedroom window, and sleeping. One day, they tugged on their mother's clothes and said, "Mommy, I'm bored. I want friends...I want to go outside."
"No, honey. You need to stay inside, remember? You have a cold. Now come on, go to your bedroom," her mother had sent her away. Y/N's eyes welled up with tears, "Why do you guys hate me?...I want to be like S/N."
Y/N's mother's eyes wavered, her attention shifting from her Teyvat fried eggs to the small, pitiful child. She crouched down and placed her hands on their shoulders, and smiled. "I'll find you a friend, alright?" her mother had promised.
And so Kazuha was bought to their room one day, finding the skinny and frail Y/N sitting in the corner of their bedroom, their face lighting up when they finally saw someone other than their family, including their sister whose friends always surrounded her outside. "Hi," Kazuha said, fidgeting with his fingers. "I'm Kaedahara Kazuha..."
"I heard you had another attack," Kazuha said grimly. Y/N's expression saddened before lighting up, "Don't be like that." Their hands brushed against his pale, soft skin. "Smile for me." Kazuha's eyes widened, before tears came in his eyes, falling down his cheeks and staining the white sheets that Y/N laid bedridden in. A small, sad smile, was all he could manage before breaking down into a cry.
Y/N smiled, sitting up and hugging Kazuha.
They both knew, that their cruel world would not allow them to stay together.
But...Kazuha had not expected their goodbyes to come so soon.
Standing idly in the rain, holding an umbrella with one hand, Y/N admired the beauty of Inazuma at night. "Y/N? You're supposed to be in be-" Kazuha walked, who was on his way to visit the sick person themself. "Yeah," Y/N hushed him. "I just wanted to see the rain one more time, since..."
Kazuha leaped over to their side, hugging them tightly, startling them. Y/N dropped the traditional umbrella and it fell in the wet mud. Kazuha took their cheeks and leaned in a blink of an eye, their lips making contact.
And they stood there, clothes absolutely soaked and hair dampened. When Y/N finally pulled away to breathe, they blushed. Kazuha had a painful expression on his face, "Please don't say...you're going to leave." They were still in a hugging position, and they stood there when Y/N's hand brushed against an round object. It shined a soft teal.
"Kazuha...you have a vision?" Y/N asked, her eyebrows furrowing. "What-" they noticed the empty vision. Kazuha pulled it away, "Yep." He forced a smile, "A lot has happened in Inazuma, Y/N..."
Y/N's expression morphed into worry.
"Wh-"
"Stop right there!" soldiers from the Tenryou Commision stepped out of thin air, circling them with no escape, like cats and a vulnerable rat. Kazuha's eyes widened, as he quickly let go of Y/N and jumped to another place swiftly, taking big leaps. The soldiers chased after him, knocking down Y/N as they grunted painfully as they got stepped on by some. "AFTER HIM!" one of them yelled as they all charged towards him.
Kazuha used the wind to suck them in and struck them all with a quick click of him pulling out his blade, some falling down, unconscious. Some were still alive but injured, and they got into formation and pushed him back. Kazuha looked back and forth, before making contact with your confused and worried eyes. Kazuha grit his teeth before striking them down.
More came out of nowhere, and eventually he was cornered. "Seize his vision," one of them said. A soldier crouched down, but not before he was kicked in the no-no spot. "OW, WHAT IN THE RAIDEN SHOGUN?!" they got spanked by another soldier, "Do not use the almighty shogun's name so carelessly, you idiot!"
Everyone turned around to face Y/N cautiously, as they drew out their swords. "Who is this?"
"It's just a little person," they said with an intimidating glare. That's when, Y/N was held back, her arm pinned to the ground, each arm held by one soldier. They struggled to escape, but to no avail. Their grips were really strong on them. "Kazuha!" they yelled as they managed to slip out a hand and reach for the boy who was about to get stripped of his ambitions, trying to stop the scene.
But not before they were held back again, and their grip was even stronger this time. "Stop interrupting us," the leader said. "Never, bit-" Y/N said before freezing. The leader had taken out his arrow and a single bow from his back and he slowly aimed it at Y/N. Kazuha looked back between them, whispering no over and over. His face was pained as he kicked the soldier holding his blade and took it out, ready to go for the leader.
Y/N didn't want to die. They were always afraid of death. Y/N, they didn't want it to end. They enjoyed life, because they had Kazuha in it. They always knew it would end some way or another. But they expected a peaceful one, with their most loved one by their side on the bed, the sunlight streaming in through the light curtains covering the window. Not like this. So abruptly.
Kazuha's eyes dulled as he stared down at the dead body drenched in blood. *It was too late.* A smiling Y/N, a dead Y/N, bathing in their own blood as an arrow pierced their chest. They were the same person, but how could they look so different? Kazuha's eyes watered, only one thing on his mind, even as he crouched down, lifting up their head, even as the cold blood would be the only thing visible on his hand, even as he kissed the person, whose warmth he had felt just moments ago was no longer there: it was all his fault.
"I'm...so sorry," Kazuha said, sobbing.
Kazuha thought, why his most loved ones must die, and why it must always be because of him.
"You're still awake, huh?" Kazuha turned around from his reminiscing and faced Beidou, captain of the ship. The woman grinned, and sat down next to Kazuha. "Beautiful moon, eh? Perfect-" Beidou glanced down at the petal Kazuha held in his hands. "Perfect for fallen leaves and old memories."
Kazuha smiled, letting go of the petal, carried by the wind across Teyvat, seeing the world like they always wanted to after staying in their house for so long. "Yes," Kazuha said. "It certainly is."
And the petal, so small and insignificant in the wide world, yet so beautiful and pure, twirled in the wind.

You stare up at the moon, leaning up against a tree, enjoying a cool breeze. Soft footsteps approach from behind you, and you turn around to see Kazuha, his white hair glowing in the moonlight. “Hello Y/N, I wasn’t expecting you to be here.” He says, his voice kind. You smile at him. “I was just stargazing, the night sky looks wonderful at this time.” You say. Kazuha smiles, and he offers you a hand, you take it, and he helps you up. “Why don’t we take a walk?” He suggests, and you nod in agreement. The two of you walk side by side under the night sky.
You reach a clearing surrounded by maple trees. Kazuha sits down on the soft grass, and you join him. He studies the red and orange trees around the clearing, a sparkle in his eyes that reminds you of the stars overhead. He turns to look back at you, and you smile at him. You suddenly get an idea, and you grab his hand, running with him to an area where the mountain drops off suddenly. You sit down on the edge, patting the gound next to you, inviting him to sit down, which he does. As the two of you look out over the beautiful nighttime landscape of Liyue, you put an arm over his shoulder.
“Welcome home Kazuha.”
