Magic becomes a sin if you practice it with the supernatural, using spells and charms, especially if you engage with this type of magic while having intentions of harming others or practicing it in a form of cursing someone, and wishing them ill1. Magic tricks, on the other hand, are not a sin. They are harmless and don’t involve calling on spiritual powers or anything of the supernatural or occult2. Christian views on magic vary widely among Christian denominations and among individuals3. According to the Bible, witchcraft is sinful in all its expressions, including folk magic, neopaganism, and overt Satanism4.
I think that from all my reading and journeys is that magic is just not stable and that it eventually falls apart...
