Hate to admit I was getting some laughs watching replays too. I think being coop gives some people a false sense of confidence because I ha e definitely gotten the most kills from that.
Same, I just had one of my bases get 40 combined kills (14/26) from a team raid. Thankfully they managed to both get the GenMat at the end successfully, or I'd have felt a little bad about it.
A lot has really just been trial and error, watching the replays and trying to go through them yourself. I was going to make a video where i kind of show how to beat mine fairly easily.
I'm always trying to balance what may draw their eyes. Things that are off by a block I notice some drawing some player eyes upward. So I think you're right they would be deadlier but I'm hoping to keep them looking elsewhere.
I had a team die 23 times between them on a tiny map. Which I just added more traps to it this morning. They played the map over 10 minutes and a solo player aced it in about 30 seconds.
There are definitely “types” of raiders. I’ll be in a map for 10 minutes checking angles get the gen mat and somewhere out there is a Speed Spiker going “Lol” and doin the same map in 45 seconds effortlessly.
@DakkaBooms that's true I like to experience the maps take my time but try not to see the traps unless they are obvious. In mine I hid a plasma cube on back in a cubby hole for the speed runners. They will never spot it because they are rushing through. I also have around 4 claw traps 1 will save you from death unless you kill it. The other 3 will kill you either by fire or corrosive cube.
I thought I was bad at raiding. It’s almost as if these two are constantly swapping controllers with friends… I’d hate to watch them solo raid. The luck after getting the geomatter
Lol I always die way more playing co-op, either you and your buddy get in each other’s way or I don’t play as tactical checking every corner like I do playing solo. Usually I raid brutal Outposts and don’t die but once or twice. But co-op, my deaths triple haha.
@@DakkaBooms a fun trap id like to see in the future is a gravity well. Changing the floor so you stand sideways or even upside to confuse a raider would be amazing 🤩
Flipping the level would be WILD. If you could put it on a x,y,z axis. Some traps would trigger a turn in the gravity for “up”. That’s a good idea dude
@@DakkaBooms ohhh yeah you could make bombs float upward instead of by gravity. You could fix that easily even without the gravity well. You could add jump pads or jump pad traps.
Funny you mention that, i did too. You you go back a little bit in my videos i came across a base that was eerily similar. But if you mean in the last couple hours then yeah i did. Tried to fix some of the now considered "exploit" traps to make it in line with the accepted fairness.

I suck at making a good map for players to die in , i really enjoy the replay system its fun to watch how players die or what they do

Making the top corrosive blocks opaque would make this 10x more deadly btw lmao, especially for this pair.

I want to see a new raider update for shootable cameras. You can shoot a camera around a corner and view any traps without setting them off.
