I don't think its fair a buyer can give neg feedback, without contacting Seller first.
The USPS can lose a package going from inside the conventional US . We bought something on eBay that got lost - from Texas to Georgia. So excluding locations will not stop that from happening.
But why would someone leave you negative feedback for the post office messing up ? Weird
I have heard so many negative comments about EBay that I don’t like them. I that plays with your mind in a bad way you have to be very positive otherwise it would affect you. Keep it up guys you are great. ❤
I have two negative feedbacks on Ebay currently, so I'm at 99.5%. I think it's kind of like my first B in college my junior year. it takes a bit of the pressure off while still having a good overall score. I don't think it impacts my store very much.
Last summer I sold an antique Pewter spoon. The buyer moved and failed to update his address on Ebay. It was returned to sender but I never received it. The item was sent to Atlanta lost mail hub. I filed a claim with USPS and lost because they shipped to the correct address. I spoke with Ebay customer service and they said I was protected because the buyer should have done his due diligence. No idea where the spoon is and it was only like a $6 sell.
I got 2 negative feedbacks for the first time ever a few weeks ago, after being on ebay since 2015. One was for a playmobil set where it was photographed and stated that the box was wrecked, buyer never contacted me, just left the negative. The other was was for a shirt that was fawn coloured, they said that they believed the listing to be olive, and when I said that I did not have another one as I wasnt a big business, they called me fraudulent and racist (?)....but kept the item, didnt open a return when I said that they could, and left horrific feedback. Ebay customer service wouldnt remove either feedback as apparently the buyers are entitled to their opinion.... it's such a shame because it really did have myself questioning being a seller on ebay and it negatively affected my sales for over a week (even though cs told me that there was no correlation whatsover).

So I had a negative feedback last month. I try really hard to have 100% positive feedback. So I sent a light weight jacket out in a padded flat rate envelope. Shipped price was set by eBay. The lady clam I over charged her for shipping and she said she contacted me and I refused to give her a partial refund on shipping. I checked my emails I never received any email from her at all. I disputed the clam with eBay stating she never contacted me. They can also check this as well. eBay refused to remove the negative feedback and just told me this won’t hurt your feedback rating and told me to just block her. I was not happy with there response. I did block her, but then I went on to facebook the eBay talk page and asked if anyone had a similar situation with eBay. I got a lot of response. Then about 5-7 days later I noticed my negative feedback was removed.
Not sure what is going on with eBay but they don’t seem to help the sellers out anymore?
I had a package, also shipping to Hawaii, recently that stopped tracking. It was a $50 profit… Poshmark ended up saying it was most likely lost in transit and they credited my account the balance. It was a super easy fix with them. I’m sure eBay might be different.
I just got back a PM sale via "return to sender" that I sent to a PM buyer back in Oct of last year. Yes USPS took that long to return it back to me for some reason. It was sent to address in Denver Co.. Weird thing is buyer had accepted delivery & I had no idea it was never delivered to her till today 8 months later. I've reached out to her on PM trying to get her address so I can send it to her. I feel bad because I was paid for the item & yet I now have it back, package was never opened, just like I'd sent it 8 months ago.
Yeah I would exclude those areas cause they are the ones that are causing problems with the shipping delays. And it’s coming along great Chris.
Hi Kathy. I would respond to the feedback because if other buyers look at the negative feedback they will also see your explanation to it. Just respond with, I am sorry you are not happy, I have free returns......

I had a buyer who said the item had not arrived and wanted me to refund the item. It was marked delivered. I wouldn't refund the $50 total and asked ebay to step in. She sent a negative feedback (fortunately I didn't have to refund her and ebay removed it). Also got a neutral for a late delivery (not me late sending it, but apparently it arrived after the buyer needed it). Strangest one was a person who never contacted me, said the item was OK, but left a negative (I was able to get that one removed too because I was convinced it must be an error).
I sold a flawed jacket on eBay and ev n though I have it marked 3times in the listing I am nervous the buyer didn't see it so I'm crossing my fingers. 🤞
Hi: I love your videos, great info and personalities; I don’t exclude any areas; people in Guam and Hawaii and Alaska and Marianas understand they live across the oceans from most US neighbors so should be willing to wait on the boat to bring it; I just put in a USPS inquiry to get all tracking updates and message them every time it moves, but sometimes Ariel and Sebastian just need to add stuff to their closets and we can’t avoid that😂; many blessings and continued success and thanks for sharing ❤️

Recently, I had a buyer reach out and claim that a pair of Clarks wasn't black but brown and she was really mad. I refunded her fully and told her to just keep them because it wouldn't be worth my paying to get them back....not for a pair of Clarks that I got at the bins that I have had for almost 8 months. I didn't want to risk a nad. Price of doing business for me, I guess.
I got a buyer who wrote me negative feedback, but she didn't realize she checked off POSITIVE, which doesn't hurt my rating. I thought about asking her to change the feedback nc buyers can still read ir, but i might only succeed in her realizing her error and correcting it to negative lol

Just curious, why do you want to bring down your average cost of goods? I know it makes profits sounds larger, but doesn’t it also increase your taxable portion?
1st negative feedback if it was already shipped eBay shouldn’t allow review if it’s postal service issue & the 2nd one I always reach out to seller before I leave any feedback.🤦♀️

I got my first negative feedback last year. So random. The feedback was in Spanish so I had to translate it and he said the shoes were two different sizes. Which I got them retail arbitrage and rechecked the photos and they were both a size 10 so…🤷🏻♀️ oh well!!😂

Somehow, I haven't had any issues shipping to Alaska and Hawaii with ground advantage. Why don't you just use priority mail padded flat rate envelopes for those and Guam? You could also use pirateship's box in a bag priority mail cubic rates with larger polymailers.
I'd like to ship to puerto rico and guam with priority mail only but can't figure out how to implement that in my listings so I have them both blocked right now.
The one I have had issues with is APOs and I now have APOs blocked unfortunately. Ebay for some reason gives APOs an estimated delivery of 2-5 days like for domestic zips but we all know nothing is getting delivered to an international base that fast. I had a ground advantage package in transit a month and when I looked up the base it was in Saudi Arabia. Yet ebay gave the buyer a delivery estimate of 2-5 days.
Been on EBay selling since mid 80s. Just got a negative due to buyers remorse…..I just respond and move on since EBay really is no help to Sellers…it’s unfortunate! Live your videos!
I'm in Hawaii, it's so annoying that we get excluded. I always msg the seller to please charge me priority lol. On the same token, I almost exclusively ship all items to buyers on the mainland as USPS flat rate, usually ends up being cheaper than Ground Advantage (and quicker!)
I’m sure I heard that Guam and Hawaii are transitioning to EIS. Probably heard it on Shed Flips.
I got my first neg feedback last christmas after selling for 19 yrs on here. and the lady didn't bother contacting me about the item.
You wouldn’t be a volumn Ebay seller if you didn’t get negative feedback now and then, which does not hurt your account in anyway and most people don’t read feedback anyway. I always like to reply to their negative feedback in kind before blocking them 😉
Please don't exclude Alaska!! We ship so much from Alaska to the lower 48. Anchorage is one of the largest hubs for International Air Cargo. Love your videos!🙂✌

Neg feedback is far and few in my experience. It's part of doing business. Bury it with positive feedback and move on. I only have 95 feedback after selling like 300+ items with ebay. Got 1 negative and its not effecting sales at all. On top of that neg are 15 positives. Sales have also increased recently. Blocked the seller because they were trying to get the item for free. They never returned it. I put that in the feedback response as well as the buyer not saying anything for 27 days after purchase.
Women Within is sold on QVC and has multiple sizes, not just plus.
I had the same issue from the post office - but my items were never even scanned by the clerks so there is no way to track them-I contacted the buyer,issued a full refund and told them if it does reach them to just keep it
Hi Guys, not sure if you’re aware but your Thursday lives haven’t been uploading. I usually can’t tune in but like to watch on my spare time.
I’ve gotten a few negative feedbacks for things I had no control over and I have nowhere near 3000 reviews but I sell a lot of stuff other than clothing. One was for a camera case which I accurately described but didn’t fit the buyers camera. I offered a return and the guy still left a negative review. Another was an item that broke in the mail during shipping. I packaged it correctly but the box was legit smashed. I don’t even try to get them removed off ebay. If people look at the reviews it’s pretty plain to see that the negative reviews are pretty erroneous.

Not a big deal... new buyers can look at the feed backs, the amount you have sold and realize negative feed back happens on larger sellers accounts with lots of sales...I am a buyer on eBay and a few negative reviews compared to sales never stop me from buyers from these sellers...

The exact same thing is happening to me now. I sent a shirt to Hawaii on may 29th and it hasn’t arrived yet and no tracking since June 3rd. Frustrating!!
You can go online to usps and fill out the missing mail form after 7 days of package ring missing. They will then do their investigation of finding it. When the bar code is scanned as it moves through the system, it gives them a gps location.
Do you do free or paid returns? I have no returns but I'm sure it hurts my sales rate.

We do put money aside for taxes. You need to as soon as you turn a profit. Our bookkeeper thankfully keeps track of cost of goods and everything we need to know for tax purposes.
I love watching your videos but have to turn off this evening the crackling noise of the bags is very annoying I know this is a petty comment but maybe others feel the same.
Just so you know, you can click the CC button & turn the volume down & watch that way. I’ve done that with videos that have really annoying loud music in the background. I don’t mind the crinkling sound at all :)

I don’t know why people complain about the crinkle sound, as it doesn’t bother me at all. However, what bothers me in videos is the constant erratic camera movement. It gives me motion sickness and I have to look away. I guess, to each their own. LOL!.
