Does the red always go in the left and the black always in the right or does it matter? The 50amp outlet at the other end: at 12 o'clock is the ground. At 6 o'clock is the neutral. Are 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock joined so they are both hot? Or is 3 o'clock hot from one generator and 9 o'clock hot from the other generator and there is no neutral at 6 o'clock? Doesn’t the manual for the p4500i say to only parallel it to another 4500i?
I have a question. I am about to use this for my RV in a week with 2 p4500i would I still need to use the surge protector?
You should be good. There should be consistent power unless you run out of gas.

This hookup is incorrect. Black goes on the left side and red goes on the right side per Manuel and representative from Cummins.
