Great job on the tutorial/demonstration of the K-Rain Hydrotek 4000. Thank you I know how you feel about not getting the answers that you need when you are researching for information that will assist in resolving a problem. I have the same Hydrotek 4000 Indexing Valve. Our irrigation system was installed more than 20 years ago during the previous two owner's period. I was trying to remove the cam [either a three zone cam (Part #6107043) or four zone cam (Part #6107044) for four outlet valve] earlier, but it most likely seized onto the four outlet valve body. I am still researching on how I can safely remove the cam and stem for maintenance and replacement. In my humble opinion the installers never closed off the unused valve outlet because they didn't install a six-(6) inch pvc pipe and cap. I think I am stuck with the index rotation because the design of the irrigation system layout. I have to add additional gold pins (I call rotation pins) to have my front yard watered in the morning. Thanks
@@Landy2525 you can run your pump and when there is no zone that turns on, stop the pump and take off the cam carefully. The white stem will be pointing toward the zone that was just activated which will be the one you need to cap since no sprinklers turned on.

Question.. can you turn it on.. manually...?
Pues comenzar la valvula manualmente...?
No timer...Thxz
great job. good tutorial
Thank you!
In my house the 2 outlets that are not in use do not have the pvc pipes closed like yours. That might be problem.
Well if you don’t need the 2 pipes, just cut it and put a caps on it.. then you will have just the sections that you need to work
@@handymanrepair8955 how do you know which pipes go where? I need to close two pipes but I have no idea which one of the four it is.
