Christiopher Lee, besides contributing many narrations, did a song with them called Magic of a Wizard's Dream. He had a beautiful basso cantante voice. But when Elizabeth @The Charismatic Voice did a reaction it was the softer side of Fabio's voice that surprised her. His breathy head voice is a heavenly sound. 😉😉
I got to meet Fabio at a show in Seattle, and he came outside and chatted with us after the show. He’s amazingly humble and his hair is truly majestic…….he let me touch it.
There's a very operatic and dramatic song called "Lamento Eroico" (entirely sung in italian) which showcases Fabio's voice at his finest. In fact, he "plays" at live shows with "Nessun Dorma" 😂
In my personal opinion Cycles of Pain explored more of his vocal capabilities, high notes, low notes, operatic sound, distorted sound, his voice was just brilliant!
That was filmed in Montreal and Quebec City! I was fortunate enough to be at the MTL show, and it was one of the best performances I've seen in decades of attending metal shows! That Rhapsody lineup was the best one!
💕💕Beth, I’m so glad you’re analyzing the voice of Fabio Leone! I listened to Rhapsody (Rhapsody of Fire now) continuously during my college years and the long summer nights, with my girlfriend, when driving my first car. A legendary band:) Thanks for your video that brought back many happy memories :) 💕💕
Hello Beth! Finally Rhapsody! One if not the best metal band with classical music and film score elements. A real musical adventure! And what a timing: they announced today that next spring the band will perform live with a full orchestra and a choir for the very first time ever in the band's history, in Milan, Italy! I live in Budapest, Hungary, so it's not that far - a must for me! I recommend their epics to listen, like Gargoyles Angels of Darkness, Heroes of the Waterfalls' Kingdom, Symphony of Enchanted Lands, Sacred Power of Raging Winds, The Mystic Prophecy of the Demonknight etc. Keep up with your great reactions! The Emerald Sword be with you! :)
I won't go , for I have strong objections for the new singer.Rhapsody is the triad : Alex - Luca - Fabio.Divide them and you get mediocre output.I am in love with Fabio's voice from 1998🥰.
I won't go , for I have strong objections for the new singer.Rhapsody is the triad : Alex - Luca - Fabio.Divide them and you get mediocre output.I am in love with Fabio's voice from 1998🥰.
I think this is the first time I have seen someone react to Rhapsody of Fire, so glad that you covered them! They are what got me into the type of metal that I listen to now. They have been a favorite of my for well over 20 years now. So many classic songs they have put out over the years.
One of my favorites of Dan's covers. The joy on his face while performing "Dawn of Victory" with Fabio makes it that much better. Also, Dan's band, Fearless, performs with them.
For the King, for the land, for the moooooountains....for the green valleys where dragons fly.....a classical tune of my teenage. In Spain all heavy metal fan knows this song. Long live to our italian brothers
I started with Rhapsody Of Fire back in the day...and after that I followed Luca Turrili ( composer and founders for Rhapsody).. he brings so many different styles and singers from album to album.
That's my second favorite band (the first one is the band of my Brazilian mates: Angra). I love ur charismatic reactions, lovely! Best wishes from Brazil!
oh, god. I remember laughing about but also loving this song when I was 16 in 1998 and they were still just called Rhapsody. hanging with my clique of metalheads, all singing "thanks to hidden meeeeerrors I found my lost way".
I heard their song 'Warrior of Ice' when I was school, and it became the track that switched me from indie and rock to metal. I had the please of seeing them out on their Farewell Tour, it was one of the greatest performances I had seen. The band that remains is a shell of their former glory, not least because it lacks the absolute power of Fabios vocals. Thanks for the reaction.
I saw them live in my city! 😭😭 With Fabio and Luca, idols of my teenage years, in fact, I started to "use all the notes on the fretboard" inspired by Turilli.
Hey Beth, just found your channel and I really like it! I'm not usually a fan of reaction channels but the vocal analysis really makes it! If I could suggest anything, it would be The Flame Rekindled by Sacred Outcry, it's sung by Daniel Heiman, who's famous for being in Lost Horizon and singing the song used in the "Monke flip" meme. Keep up the good work!
My favorite band, I had the privilege of meeting them in person and seeing them play live, they are very friendly, approachable and they also know a lot about culture and spirituality, and they are just as nerdy about everything related to geek as I am. Fabio is among the top 5 metal vocalists of all time.
My mother never liked metal of any kind but she became so enamoured with this song that she used the of the intro with the choir as part of the backing track for a horse show she did.
What a great band......Fabio is a great Singer......i've seen 4 times "live" in Italy, great shows, cool performance every times.....I hope some other reaction of this band☺💪💪💪🤘🤘💣💣
You should check out Dan Vasc. He's a Brazilian heavy metal singer, he's covered this song. He has a cover of Rhapsody's "dawn of victory" that sings along with Fabio. Andre matos is of the people he studied to learn his falsetto, he did a tribute to Andre when he died with angras "carry on". He has a wide range both in notes and styles
I gotta say, it was amazing being a 90's kid and waiting for the Next Rhapsody album, it felt like an epic journey in music, like HP and LOTR were for books and movies
Fabio Lione, as current head singer of brazilian band Angra, has one of the most iconic interpretations of the song "Carry On", originally immortalized in Andre Mattos's legendary voice. As Lione couldn't reach the same high notes as Andre, he cleverly used the whristle technique and gave it his own sauce.
Anything from old Rhapsody with Fabio Lione and Luca Turilli is simply amazing. Check also Lucas Turillis Rhapsody with Fabio and with Conti. Turilli is a mastermind and Fabio has amazing and beautiful voice. Conti also has crazy voice. But Fabios voice is unique
I saw them twice back in these days and both shows were exactly like this one. There were times when we were louder than the band. There's no people who were brought there or went out of curiosity. It was all Rhapsody fans giving 100 percent nonstop the entire show and for like half an hour after the show was over singing together in the parking lot.
Fabio is a great singer and has an incredible voice. You should listen to dark tower of abyss, or symphoy of enchanted lands or warrior of ice, and you will notice how incredible and versatile is his voice
One of the best power metal songs...Rhapsody, its interpretation is so sublime. Fabio Lione's voice is iconic and gives epicness to the song. The guitar solo the best of the best
You should have a look at La Vita Fugge by Vision Divine as well. There's a brilliant sustained note in that one and Michele Luppi is a fantastic singer all round.
@@MikeCarvin Yes. He describes himself as having all the tenor range and all but one octave of baritone. And he struggles a bit with very high falsetto notes.
You should try to analyze a band called "Myrath" from Tunisia, a Oriental Power Metal one which even Fabio Lione said they are very innovative because the arabic influences on the melodies. I would suggest listening the live version of Dance (Live in Carthage) :)
ill love to hear your thoughts about galneryus and his vocalist Masatoshi Ono, if you research a little bit about him, he used to be a balad singer in the 90s and that voice... transported into the j metal it's just glorious, he also participated in anime OP and endings like Hunter x Hunter, the version with the band is just wild.
Fabio is great! I'd love to see you cover Daniel Heiman (Brittany from Unleash the Archers cites him as her influence), probably the most dynamic and underrated singer on the planet! Lost Horizon, Dimhav, Sacred Outcry, Warrior Path being some of his projects.
I just love this sound...shaped and formed by nordic bands like Therion and Nightwish..tho we have our share of 2nd gens here in the 🇺🇸. Leone reminds me of David Bowie...closer to our gen! 😊
You makes me cry listening italian FABIO LIONE voices .... what can i say.... beautifull powerfull melodicaly ,, strongest but delicated , i dont know , simply amable power of force of lyrics love , sometimes of course . ❤🎉🎉🎉
Imagine if Fabio actually took care of his voice and himself. He doesn't warm up, smokes quite a lot, doesn't exercise.. He simply has a gift and uses it to the fullest. I'm a huge fan of his, and he just reached his peak performance with Angra in their last album. Suggest reacting to Ride Into the Storm, by Angra. That's the best performance by Fabio with Angra by a lot, and there's also a tribute to André Matos in that same videoclip.
Incredible band! If you liked him, you need to hear the Colombian band Kraken and listen to Elkin Ramírez. Vestido de cristal is one of the band's most popular songs and his vocals are amazing.
I got to see the original band twice (last time when they did their goodbye gig at trix, antwerp), and then saw the new band twice... And well, they're both awsome! And this song? Well, if my friends want the party to be a bit more lively they put it on. Or "Rebellion" by Grave Digger. (I'd love your reaction on the latter song by the way). Because, well, I can be very energetic sometimes 🤣
Hey! I'm a light tenor like Fabio is, even if it doesn't sound much like opera, part of his technique definitely is. Besides you can hear Fabio sing with his full voice in other songs, the point is that Rhapsody songs create a lot of stress on the vocals that it will be risky to keep a full "chest" voice all the time, and a brighter and more agile vocal approach fits better these songs.
Of power metal. One of the greatest of the genre. My favorite genre. Europe is the kingdom of power metal. The biggest names of the genre are from here. Just like the other metal/rock genres

For the king for the land for the mountains
For the green valleys where dragons fly...
For the Glory! The Power…
...to win the black lord!
I will search for the Emerald swooooooord!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 uno de los mejores y más gloriosos coros de la historia.
when fabio sings "for the green valleys where dragons fly" I can just imagine some new zealand green valley
Yes, that was back when the band was just called "Rhapsody" (so you find those albums under the old name).
I got to meet Fabio at a show in Seattle, and he came outside and chatted with us after the show. He’s amazingly humble and his hair is truly majestic…….he let me touch it.
Jealous, I hope I get to meet him someday.
There's a very operatic and dramatic song called "Lamento Eroico" (entirely sung in italian) which showcases Fabio's voice at his finest. In fact, he "plays" at live shows with "Nessun Dorma" 😂
It's like sabaton's "En livstid i krig", they both lose so much range when they're not singing in their native languages
Oh, yeah.
Fabio is now on ANGRA ! worth checking out ! ''ANGRA - UPPER LEVELS - LIVE VÍDEO VERSION - OMNI''
one of my favorite songs, but I argue that the live version at Sonasterio is the best
In my personal opinion Cycles of Pain explored more of his vocal capabilities, high notes, low notes, operatic sound, distorted sound, his voice was just brilliant!
Rhapsody of Fire is symphonic power metal. Pioneers in this genre.
Emerald Sword is my favorite power metal song of all time. There goes almost 20 years of listening.
Great choice as always, beth!
I've been to a Rhapsody concert and when this song plays the crowd gets WILD.
Rhapsody, always my choice for best band of all times. Variety in perfection.
Turilli is a fking genius
@@potasiodelbueno710 Yes, and I love the last three Luca Turilli's Rhapsody as much as old Rhapsody!
Variety? Great compositions, but it’s pretty specific in terms of its range and genre.
Heck yeah. The Magic of the Wizard's Dream and the entire album "Triumph or Agony" are kino & primo. Your face on the thimbnail was great too
That was filmed in Montreal and Quebec City! I was fortunate enough to be at the MTL show, and it was one of the best performances I've seen in decades of attending metal shows! That Rhapsody lineup was the best one!
I was there in Montreal as well, it was SUCH a great show!
Can't wait, One of my favorite songs
I grew up listening Rhapsody! What amazing styles combination 🙌
Name of Fabio, Alex and Luca together. This day has just gone happier. PS thanks for the amazing video Beth! Cheers from Italy:)
Now that you know Rhapsody and Fabio Lione, you should definitely listen to "Barbie, Milf Princess of Twilight" by NANOWAR OF STEEL.
😂😂😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘
Getting Fabio to parody himself was Nanowar's peak!
Can I click like 20 times?
and "Look at Two Reels" where they do a lot of puns about Turilli 😂😂😂
This 👆🏻❤️

Excellent choice Beth ,as a 70 year old i can appreciate good music when i hear it .Raised on early Genesis and Rush.
The thing I like here is how the crowd are clearly enjoying this so much.

Hola Beth 😊 Lione is a classically trained Tenor singer. He's amazing and the songs he has sung are very technical stuff. Love from Ecuador ❤

When Alex n Luca Together, Rhapsody is untouchable..
Wow I have listened to some of your new songs. Your voice is amazing. Good job. Not my type of genre, but I will definitely suggest it to my wife.
This is the first metal song I heard when I was young, and the song that got me into metal. This song will always special for me
"Wings of Destiny", "Lamento Eroico" 😌 Great songs
So that is the face I made around 2000 when I first listen that Master Piece (I`m 46, from Temuco, Chile, cheers everyone!)
Love your channel Beth!!
Thank you Beth!!!
I LOVE RHAPSODY, with FABIO of course!!
He's one of kind, and one of the best male metal singers!!!!!!!!!
I seen OG Rhapsody live and it was the greatest live experience I’ve ever seen.

You should serach for "Lamento Heroico" from Rhapsody. Almost a true Aria.
Very good
Awesome Rhapsody!. You should check Vision Divine with Michelle Luppi. The album "Stream of Consciousness" is EPIC!.

Rhapsody-Lamento Eroico live Wacken
MEGA YEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!
Há quem não goste do timbre dele, mas Lione tem uma potência vocal invejável.
Esa alineación con Fabio y Luca Turilli fue fue lo máximo.

I love them since Legendary Tales

the really master master piece of this band is "Queen of the dark horizons" believe me you need this in your life jaja
That's a good one but the music is originally from goblin, Claudio simoneti is great.

Saw them last Summer with the excellent Giacomo Voli on vocals.
I love Raphsody, but I think the principal pioneer in symphonic metal is Therion, please Beth react to To Megatherion
All these high notes and the man is a Tenor
And a dark tenor who's range extends mostly lower... 😅
@luisnunes3863 dark tenor ?
You mean Heldentenor
@@MikeCarvin Yes. He describes himself as having all the tenor range and all but one octave of baritone. And he struggles a bit with very high falsetto notes.

Turilli, Staropoli, and Lione are master of sword, warior that fighting the dragon, dark lord, and also demon
Fabio also Sings in Vision Divine & Labyrinth
Like Labyrinth's Roberto Tiranti, he recorded eurodance songs, I believe for Japan (under the name Joe Terry).
