I wanna like Ultimate X Men, I really do. Im a manga fan, im a peach momoko fan and im a huge X men fan… its just not really working for me though 😔. All the other Ultimate books are top tier though!
I loved this book.. At first. For about 4 or 5 issues. Slow. Character driven. Explaining everything i need to know in order understand the book. But by #7, its a jumbled mess of characters that i cant keep up with. I dont read the main universe X-men. I'd like to, but you need to read and remember 100s of back issues to understand wtf is going on. But ultimate comics are SUPPOSED to be coherent for people who have not read the main universe titles. But this book is ONLY for people who have already read a lot of X-men. Its funny, I'll go online and see people talking about the huge cast of characters by codenames.. Codenames that the book hasnt even used yet! Thereby proving this book is for established fans.
I can see where you're coming from for sure! I too am someone who hasn't read much x-men but i know the basics, so it does help. I have to read issue 7, now that you remind me. Hopefully things smooth over as the run goes on! There's a lot to cover in just one month. Also thank you VERY much for commenting! Its greatly appreciated! (WE HAVE MORE CONTENT COMING!)
