The Bite Was on From the First Drop | Offshore Winter Sheepshead Fishing

- I went out fishing with Marc from @redfishbluetail and his buddy Ryan. We took a trip offshore to a nearshore reef to do a little winter sheepshead fishing and the bite was on fire from the very first drop! We had an awesome day of sheep herding and we also had a surprise visit from some South Carolina Department of Resource Officers. We filled the box, through a bunch of fish back, and left them biting. What more can you ask for in the middle of January in Charleston?

I find it absurd that mainstream fishing channels (I wont name who) with near millions of subscribers get the attention they get but only catch a fish within an hour of a video and spend the rest of the time either talking or showing them standing there with the rod. Whereas your videos which I recently came across have bites on camera, multiple fish catches with no time wasted, and hell even a bite timer. Keep up the good work I just felt like sharing my confusion with you as to why channels that actually catch fish are so elusive vs big channels that waste my time 😂🤟

That was a sick bite. Me and Keagan went out last weekend at sullivans for the first time in a while and caught a bunch of smalls but nothing like that
Thanks Grant! Glad you found some good numbers at least, but the BIG big ones are less concentrated indoors this time of year. But once it starts warming back up there will be more bigger ones moving back in. Hope you find some nice keepers soon!

Where do you get the mud crabs this time of year?
Same as I do in the summer: flipping over rocks on muddy banks around low tide. I caught these early in the morning when it was about 30⁰ out. They don't mind the cold, they're just slower moving and harder to spot in the mud.
