This is so cool! I used to play piano but I stopped I middle school. My little sister is so good at piano. She went to Nationals for Fine Arts this year for her piano solo. Hi, I have a question. So, I’m a Junior in high school and a piano player, and I have gotten into Classical Music, and Ragtime. About a month ago I got into Harlem Stride . Is there a major where you can practice Piano and have recitals/ performances? As for me, I want to be a Solo Pianist. Play Classical Music, Ragtime, and Harlem Stride with NO orchestra. Just the Piano being played alone for a recital/ performance. Most Classical Pieces involve orchestra. Also, as a student, do I have the right to pick which Classical or Ragtime or Harlem Stride piece I want to practice for an upcoming recital/ performance?

Aww, I miss being a music major. It's amazing that you can teach 15 students while in school! That must seriously help with expenses. Sighhhh the working world is draining even if you're lucky enough to love what you do. ;)

Stephanie Douglass Yup! Thanks, it’s a fun schedule. The good thing is I have free tuition bc my father works at the University. I wouldn’t be in music school if I had to pay for it lol.

I think that instead of going to college you’re going to a conservatory. I think there is a “pre-exam” or something. Hope this helped :D

Ahhh I loved this video!! I’m a music ed major rn at UNT in Denton, TX so it’s so cool to find someone that is in the Dallas area ( I’m from Plano) SMU was a college that I was actually interested in too, but UNT was a better fit for me. You’ve inspired me to make videos like this about my journey as a violin major. Can’t wait to start making videos in the fall. Subscribing :)
