I dont agree I think being in open guard on your back is worse, or if hes in butterfly and you're standing up that's bad, closed guard next to butterfly guard seated might some of the safest position on the bottom imo. No one anticipated that guard break. Gordon Ryan is just that good he will get it from anywhere you just have to be ready to deal with leg locks, But Gordon Ryan is not just a leg lock guy, he he has no problem passing your guard and taking your back etc
