1970 Chevelle SS with a small block under hood ... well we know it does'nt have the original engine, grill should'nt have the vertical pieces above and below the SS emblem , marker lights in front bumper should be clear not amber
You're bringing back memories I did a 71 that was a real SS from a junkyard cost me $2,000 but a time I was done with it I was up to 9 grand not too bad it came out very satisfactory but I did it the hard way 90% of it was done without a frame off that was one of the best three and a half years of my life I really enjoyed working on that car fun fun fun might do it again at 64 who knows lol
I'm revisiting this post that I wrote and am in the process of looking for one now it's 66 I got the itch as Derek would say, I don't know lol love that guy
@@dirtyharryville 3 1/2 years first project now on my 3rd and another 71 but doing a 70 front end ! so far 7 months in doing good at this pace should have it done in 1 1/2 years from now ! 454 roller 4 speed M21 12 bolt 373 gears SS clone . I am having fun hope all enjoy there build !
Absolutely beautiful people don't realize what it takes time wise to restore a car I did 71 Chevelle SS I built LS 6 585 lift good solid sound cathedral heads if I wasn't on East coast I would come hang out with y'all beautiful paint and body work on that 70 SS
Nice work but you should never cut up a body like that without welding temporary bracing inside the car first. You cut so much integral metal off the rear quarters and inner wheelhouse area. The saving grace was having the body on the frame. Those body’s are se weak one cut up they shift and sag under their own weight.
Fi still had my 396, it would still look like the day I bought it, many people didn't deserve to own a car like this, no reason to not take care of your vehicle.
What is the white that it’s covered in? Paint or what? I’m working on my first restoration and it needs a lot of body work and I definitely don’t have the equipment to get it into the air like you did.. any recommendations?
Reminds me of my all time favourite ride when I got out the service a '69 chevelle ss 396 bored to 402 posi rear end Hurst 4spd L50-15 Holly4b a monster ran 11.55 quarter mile
Have you recognised the game...? Its called WHO GETS THE OLD VIN NUMBER ONTO A NEW CAR ? They built a new car......But they have my utmost respect for what they did....
I love this rebuild. I am currently rebuilding a 1956 olds 88. I hope it turns out half as good as your SS. I do have one question. Is that a Buick GS at 5:58 - 5:59? I was looking at the floor shift.
This is my dream car to restore when I’m older and have adult money, only things I’d change is the paint to black with red stripes, make it a hard top, make the interior with more black with heavy red accents and chrome accents. And add more chrome accents to the exterior. But these cars are so hard to find and when you do you gotta be ready to pay a lot of money.
Curious about the horseshoe shifter at 5:57? The brake pedal in this shot looks too big also, for a manual transmission. Earlier pedal shots are inconclusive. Regardless, very nice restoration, 1970 is my favorite year.
I really didn't think it was possible to bring a car back that was that far gone. It really didn't look like much was left from the original car. Hats off.
I myself am a 69 ss guy with 70 second in line but the job you guys do is nothing short of miraculous i was and am ecstatic to see it restored the body lines on any chevelle are just gorgeous, you and you're guys make it look so effortless that car should be in the smithsonian as one of the definitive icons of the muscle car era. p.s. love the channel.

Were there pictures of another peppered into this vid? Swore I thought I saw an automatic horseshoe shifter with black carpet somewhere in the middle.
It's good to see legends of the streets being restored
Why was there a horseshoe shifter in the middle of this project?
this car had a small block in it. not original engine? '70 ss had Big block 396 or 454 engines only!

LOVE THIS BEAST from Peshawar,Pakistan 🇵🇰🇵🇰
What a great restoration that was!
You guys are extremely talented and have tons of patience. Looks Good!! Great Job
Wow. That's quite a project but how rewarding it had to have been to get to see that finished product
Back to original.. Good looking
Restoring a 1970 Chevelle... you guys are doing the Lord's work.
A 70 Chevelle SS did not have those park lights. The SS Chevelles had clear park lenses with orange bulbs.
Good to see a old school motor in it and it wasn't destroyed with a automatic transmission
Whats the name of the song at 8:30?

Beautiful job!! Swap the front amber lenses for the ss clear lenses
Dude you should have done black with white strips
Wow,and the sheet metal work just unbelievable
How much would you say this car was worth when you first got it??
Beautiful job,,,in restoring a 72 chevelle,,,you've given me inspiration,,,because it's not near as bad shape to start with.
Kinda glad he didn't go with the patina look.
Another classic beauty saved...

So, what is the point? So very little original car in it and not especially rare car. However, so much talent went into this!
Top de Mas. Eu com fé em Deus, terei ó meu carro assim. Agora ñ tenho dinheiro mas quem sabe é Deus.
I have a chevelle ss with red interior as well, what would be a good interior kit for me to order?
Parabéns? pela obra prima. Se eu tivesse condições eu queria vocês para fazer, vida no carro meu.
Nice to see that the car was renovated back to the original. Nice combo red on red with black vinyl top👌
Did those rear quarter zip pretty good or did you bang them around quite a bit? I got a front fender didn't fit for shit
You are the beats and most beautiful man to fix up classic legend
El chevelle se a quedado perfecto como cuando salio de fabrica
