I have this jigsaw about a year. And it's absolutely great.

Amazing bit of kit. If this comes as 18v cordless, I would buy immediately.

I was wondering, when you put one side of the saw on the guide rail, how do you prevent it from tipping over to the other side? I found the explanation in another UA-cam video. Manfell provides a spacer, as standard equipment, with the saw. When I watch your video closely, I can see that the spacer suddenly appears magically. I wanted to mention the spacer here, to help others wondering about the same thing. By the way, I own a Mafell P1CC, and I found the spacer in the box today. It is there, but I have never figured out what it was for. Thanks for the video.

Someone explain why I shouldn't just use a plunge cut circular saw instead

I prefer the d handle I think you have better control then barrel grip. and you have variable speed control

Advantage of the "d" shape handle - variable speed trigger.
This jigsaw is very nice, but it is miserable when cutting metal... Was designed only for wood, and in metal the blade without the roller bents.
