Mattie, I never get tired of your riding content. Ridden this stretch several times, your video brought back a lot of memories. There’s a great rooftop bar in Ouray I always miss to have lunch and I always swear I’ll stop next time thru. Great place in Silverton for craft beer. Used to be a place called Tamarron (think they’ve changed names a few times) near Durango Mtn Resort, opposite side of the road, we used to stay in the condos there. Love that whole stretch thru there. That train by the way was the original train from the Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid days…
Colorado is amazing, our group just returned from there in September. One Million Dollar Highway is absolutely crazy. It is on the top of my top 10 roads for motorcycles in USA, for sure.
You chose a great ride. I live in montrose and we live to ride on these roads often! If you ever wish to come back through hope to see you and I’ll tour you through gateway canyon and unaweep canyon , bedrock co, you love it!
Great start Matt! On a related note, it was your previous videos that inspired a few of us from SC to make the trip out there last year. We spent three weeks basically retracing your steps and had an epic time. Thanks for all the great footage and inspiration!
I just sub to your channel I really enjoy your videos. My father in-law and I are leaving in May from East TX to Durango Co. for an 8-day motorcycle ride over 2400 miles doing a lot of the rides you are showing. The Million Dollar HWY, 4 Corners and such. We can't wait to go. We have had it planned for almost a year now we are down to 3 more months. Keep up the great content and safe travels.
This was filmed around May20th. Depending on where you want to ride some mountain passes may not be open in Colorado at the end of April. Plus as you saw, snowstorms are still common...
@@FullTankAdventures Thanks! we are planed to stay in Moab and do the La Sal loop an dthe Million Dollar Highway the first week of May so we will have to pray!! lol Happy Holidays and Thanks again
We love watching your multi day videos. This one give us a great plan ideas. How was it leaving your rigs for a week? Did you arrange with the hotel? Or just left in public parking?
We arranged to leave in public parking that is well patrolled. But when our plans changed we called the Glenwood Springs PD and they said to just park in their back lot. Thanks for watching!!
Scaring the cattle like that is harassing the animals. You must not know that in Colorado, which is a fence out state, the cows have the right of way, not you. You hit one, you bought it, to the tune of about $3000. You piss one off, it charges you on your bike, does damage...it's all on you. You were all going way too fast on the cut off, where there are many cows on any given day. Try riding a little more responsibly.
We were aware. Definitely need to be alert in free range areas, and blipping the throttle to encourage them to move off the road, particularly in a blind corner is much safer for everyone coming behind us. Speed was measured appropriately, it was just a sharp corner. All is well!

Sounds good! We did Gateway Canyon 6-7 years ago and it is absolutely amazing. Totally underrated CO road.
Love these trip videos!

@@marcomorissette7940 If you can give yourself some flexibility with your schedule you should be able to find a nice window. Enjoy!
@@FullTankAdventures No choice we will find time since we do over 2,600 miles to get down there so we need to ride and see the maximum possible lol
Minnesota in the house. Saw you on 2LaneLife, I was waiting for this vid to come out. What is it with you and the snow on your rides? LOL!
Just can’t escape it 🤣🤣
Another great video brotha. What video editing program are you using if you don’t mind me asking.
I use Final Cut Pro. Adobe is probably the better program, but have use this for so long and it works for my hobby video making purposes.
Thanks for the content. Was your ride in August? Trying to gauge weather for my upcoming trip.
Pretty sure this one was in late June
