Perfection. Thank you for these... Can't wait for the new DsO video! 🌾⚔️
Been listening to DsO since 2005 or so. ( I'm one of those who enjoys pre-SMRC almost as much as post...)
This was long overdue.
Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed-keep an eye out, we’ll be coming back soon. And yes, I personally enjoy the two “Manifestations” EPs a lot. To me, they are what Darkthrone could have been. Less interesting philosophically and musically than their later output, of course, but fantastic OG black metal.
Excellent analysis, that was pretty rad that Arvo Part came up in this, that surprised me a little bit. Can't wait for the next episode. Learning about the music is going to probably help me as a writer eventually when I get back to working on my own projects. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the comment! That’s great to hear. The next part will be more conversational and focused more on philosophy, as Charlie is the one with technical musical knowledge and I’m just not equipped for that haha. But I hope you still find that part interesting, if not useful.
Cheers
this makes me so happy, thank you :)
Thanks for watching!
Wow, just wow. Thank you.
What a great video. I wish it had been longer
Thank you!
I like DSO as well.
Very well said
Hell yeah!
Amazing keep it up 👍
Thank you!
Thanks
where's part 2 maaaan
I'd love to be able to read the script for this to really be able to dig deeper into the content here. I understand if you don't want to make that available.
Looking forward to pt 2!
Its on our Patreon, actually, along with our other scripts. We’ll be coming back with an interview within the next month or so!
@@absencespodcast any updates on that interview?
@@absencespodcastPlease post more on DsO
when I click your links, spotify says it cannot find the podcast? I'd love to listen through your playlist!
We lost all of our episodes on Spotify and other platforms. Distribution issue. We’re working on reuploading what we can!

Lol wat
Part 2 when?
We have a bunch of stuff in the works now, but we haven’t forgotten about this one. We will get to it in the near future
Name-dropping baudrillard you might be interested in their lyrics and theology. It's pretty obscure and references the Bible and French mystics. Paracletus seems to be midrash which takes the holy Spirit (paraclete) to be Satan, or something. I don't get it
🤯
what is the thumbnail and the picture in the background of the video?
