Well that was a fun week, we love sharing our Aussie lifestyle with you! Head over to our insta @thebamfamalaminaustralia to see more of what we get up to during the week! Much love, The BAM Famalam xx
Guys - just started following you. We’re lodging our EOI end of the year and have fallen in love with Queensland so value greatly your blogs. Stay safe and keep it coming!
Excellent well presented Video as ussual, I am a Mortgage Broker in Victoria and it is very pleasing to hear from an Agent (Jodie) that has a very good handle on things, it is quite often not the case, she is a keeper, cheers !!!
I've only recently subsribed and I've been watching your videos backwards in time as I'm a late arriver. I must say, you two should do TV, both funny buggers.
@@TheBAMFamalam hey sorry for late reply it’s been crazy 😜 We are in hotel Quarantine 3Rd day ....All we have to say what a poor effort of customer service in our hotel absolutely a poling the way we are being treated , besides that we have a question “ We are currently in Spring Hill , We would like to sake where would you suggest to look 👀 at new estates that people buy homes close to Brisbane ? What areas should we look at ?
@@michaelpiotr8674 oh we're so sorry to hear that, we don't envy you, but 11 days left, and you will be living the life! We don't know the Brissie suburbs too well, as we are on the Sunny Coast, but if you're looking for newish estates, alot of them will have display villages - if you search a few of the builders, you will be able to find where those display villages are - there's Plantation, Metricon, GJ Gardner, Brighton Homes - pretty much any display village will have those builders homes on them x
It would be interesting to know what the snags are to purchasing as a foreign national. For example in the UK you have leasehold and freehold. Then there is stamp duty.
That's an awesome point - we think we may have to do a video on that. Another thing to know is that the house buying process varies from state to state here.
Once again, good video. Housing prices seem comparable to my province (Ontario) in Canada for a property of approximately the same size and quality. Although, without going through the conversion process, it's kind of hard to compare property sizes, since in Canada, we measure it on total square feet, or yards, whereas you're quoting the size in meters. Interesting to compare, though. I've noticed in other videos I've seen of Australian houses that many of them have fences in their front yards. Is that common there? In Canada, almost every house has fenced in the backyard, but rarely in the front.
Thank you 🥰 Thank goodness for google, we have to convert things regularly 😂 Alot of houses don't have a fenced in front yard, but a lot do, I suppose it sometimes depends on where the house sits on the plot, as to whether that makes the best garden 😊
@@TheBAMFamalam I have noticed from videos I've seen on YT and even from movies and tv from America that a lot of houses don't have front fences or even side fences forward of the house. In Australia there are a couple of factors governing whether a house has a front fences (pretty much all houses have side fences down the entire boundary of the allotment) The first reason for not having a front fence is the home owners personal choice. However some housing developments have a covenant on the allotments stating you are not allowed to have a front fence. You can have a hedge or a row of plants but not a fence. The area I live has a covenant stating no front fences.
Wow…….so much for your buck……….you can imagine my Jersey prices dwarf Australia…..hey ho……in another life maybe we could move…..Jersey very like Australia , beaches, surf and hot summers…..one thing, is it the norm to have AC in houses, it is not in Jersey, but we really need it….very interesting video guys..thanks for sharing
@@TheBAMFamalam right now it’s blowing a Gale….think we have no need for AC until June…it is hot then, each year we hit 38C……really pleased to have stumbled upon your great videos, you give so much really good advice……have a super exciting year guys…
Some of it does, you’ll have those same housing options, although housing will be more expensive and you would probably need to travel a lot further from the CBD to get to acreage. We are not sure of the buying process in other states though I’m afraid, there do seem to be some differences xx
Thank you 🥰 That one is currently advertised as $236,900 (after cashback and homebuyers grant). We haven't delved into the inclusions on that, so you have to check what things are not included (often landscaping is not). You also have to purchase a block 😊
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have put a new bell on this week's video, which hopefully will be less jarring for you. Let us know what you think of it ❤️

Crazy how cheap properties are compared to the south east of the UK!! 800KAUD is around £400k😳
These properties sold above asking price, there is a boom going on here at the moment xx

Yep ,little sheds for australia.
Haha some of the ones on larger property look like airport hangars 😆
That first property is still cheaper than a shitty 2-bed flat in London.
The prices in some cities here are also very high. We live in a more regional area 😊
