Living on an island only 10 miles by 3, every ride is a short ride. Because of the short distances, I didn't find owning a vehicle worth the expense. Totally agree with you cycling every day is a great way to keep a good base level of fitness.

@@ArmandGirard I'm not sure but I think it's about the same for me, if I go as fast as possible it's about 12 minutes. I will time it with the car next time.

Parks and not enough bike lanes... difficult and stressful to ride in Bangkok, Thailand

@@BruceChastain Stressful to ride in Bangkok so I prefer to play safe.
Example from an expat / UA-cam: Khlong Saen Saep Canal Ride Bangkok to Bangkapi Mall
.....Slow rides but safe next to some canals; "bike lanes" on the sidewalk of some large boulevards; 7.5 miles (12 km) north-south bike lane crossing the city; some streets or large boulevards with little traffic; some large parks with bike lanes.

wow Oli! I think this is the first time you've commented on my video! But yes that is a good reason too. I even sometimes push my car if I need to move it a meter or two.
