  • In this episode of LUME WARS! by KeepTheTime, we put two "Tec" watches up against each other. The #Trintec ZULU-07 Pro vs. #LumTec Combat B24. We chose to compare these two because they are both tool watches with the same Miyota caliber 9015 movement and similar style of lumed up minute markers.
#lumewars is a KeepTheTime original series.

Really impressive, didn't expect the Trintec to hold it's own against the Lumtec, but even with less luminous material is really gets the the job done. Nice!

Agree, it was an interesting match-up!

WatchFlipr.com not sure how you felt the trintec held its own. It was dimming before the light went on. The lumtec didn't dim at all...

I tuned in here because I have a Zulu=07 inbound, and already own several LumTec watches. I wanted to see what to expect from the Zulu-07. I was wondering if you have ever compared an NFW Shumate to anything else? It has probably the longest lasting lume I have ever seen.

Hi! We actually have never had an NFW on our channel, we'd love to get our hands on one for a few LUME WARS! episodes. Apparently they use like 50 layers of Super-LumiNova on some of their models. Speaking of Super-LumiNova, check out this post on our blog when you have time: www.keepthetime.com/blog/super-luminova/. Thanks for the comment and thanks for WATCHing! Please subscribe, more LUME WARS! vids coming soon :-)

@@KeepTheTime , yeah, the NFW Shumate is quite amazing. They do claim 50 layers of SuperLuminova, and the numerals and Indices are also thick. I have a couple of Shumates, and have found them to last with good readable Lume for about an hour. In a dark environment, such as in bed sleeping, I can read the watch face six hours or so, after a 1 minute charge. I also own a Viperfish, and Valor (full dial lume) from their line, and while they do glow bright, it is for a shorter period like most other watches.

Absolutely love lume wars! Would it be possible to compare a seiko tuna 300m or 600m and a lum-tech. That would be amazing to see. Great channel by the way!!!!!

I like them both but the Trintec wins my vote this time because of the weak second hand on the Lumtec. Why'd they go through all that trouble to double and triple coat the lume and then have such a thin second hand?
