I had a snowplow mount that utilized a long wire which had a spring shape in one end. You would thread the bolt in the twisted spring end. Then you would fish the straight then through the boxed frame and out the other side about a foot away. Pull through the frame and add a nut.
I think something like that would have been very useful for this project.
