The New Rework Skarner (though it's coming up to two weeks after release) has been tough to get used to, but I eventually did and am having fun with the boy.
I feel like this build has naturally formed over a longing for the pre-rework Old Skarner's Q spam and attack speed from spires, so higher ability haste with Spear of Shojin and Tempo's attack speed kinda bring some semblance of that back, even if not quite the same.
With buffs coming to Skarner in the next patch, there'll be more room to cook and experiment with other build ideas, particularly ones that involve more AD and even Lethality.
Didn't upload for a few days despite these games being from the same stream. I was overwhelmed by sleep deprivation and... I guess burnout, but more so the lack of sleep.
It was and still is out of my control but doing what I can to manage it so hopefully things level out from here, and gameplay doesn't devolve to me mashing buttons and inting.

titanic with hail of blades feels pretty good to get another auto cancel hob helps and the tiamat active after rock slamming helps
not gonna lie personally ive been playing the w max build (somewhat) but using the funky tank lux build from a bit ago, the one with unending despair it actually feels pretty good
When I saw the q being a 3 hit ability it immidietely told me to play HoB Skarner. I can see that you think in a similar way here. I do recommend trying HoB tho, its fun and the secondary perks of domination tree feel good (cheap shot, more ad and last is up to you - MS, ult cdr, money, whatever you wish :) )

I agree, Skarner does feel much better with attack speed. The base attack speed is so low and the Q attack speed steroid doesn't do enough to make up for it. I don't think it's the best, but building Trinity Force feels great to me.

We all miss feral flare. That was probably one of my favorite renditions of a jungle item. It just did everything. Vision, damage, and gold. I don't think anyone misses feral flare yi though. :')

I feel like lethal tempo doesn't help in my games and PTA is far better at getting me and my team ahead. 68% wr tank skarner plat 3. Shojin and Titanic also feel good when ahead.
Day 5 of suggesting kidnapper skarner 2.0: phase rush, stridebreaker, DMP, cosmic, exp hexplate, and whatever you need last (rocketbelt/shurelyas if spicy)
combo is: grab Q, W, buffer R after W (rock will throw itself), and then Stride. You're welcome, 3 free champions directly to the fountain.

Ive been running first strike with a so far 100% win rate in gold nets me roughly 1k gold and boosts skarners already impressive burst damage even higher especially if you land the wall stun but I also run heartsteel so your mileage may vary
How do you even proc first strike? You are so big and slow you never get to start combat without having a rock already prepped which slows you down because you need to pick it up before someone even auto attacks you? It's literally his most losing rune statisticly aside from predator.
@@Frostile Your E collision cancels all autos and you can W before most champs can get in range to hit you first, barring ADCs , also I find skarner is most useful in a flank where he can steamroll someone into a wall before be starts swinging for real
I loved being able to buy sightstone for when you got something like a Lux "support" or some basically afk enchanter that wouldn't know what a ward was if they got it for free by doing nothing...oh wait.
I never understood why they removed the original jungle items. They all had nice designs and were unique to each other. Ever since then, every jungle item is just a different color of the same design. So lame.
Huh? Bro the jungle pet is literally different for each of them, yes they are just red, blue and green but they are easy to find and understand at a glance even just by colour. Green generally is a defensive colour, red is aggressive and blue is air/speed. To say that the items are bland while completing ignoring the pets they spawn when they will be on your screen for the whole game is just low iq.
