"Most of them were bad from the start, even as kids: runaways, loners. They never fit in. I always said when I had a juvenile I knew was bad, I wish I could put him away for life. You could just see it in their eyes." Bill: 😬
Ikr? "Rose confession" and "A new hairdo for Beverly Jean" from season 1 also sound like murder itself. They almost make you feel that predatory delight serial killers get when hunting for victims. It's morbid af but it's genius.
starting my fifth time this week, one of the best show by far. I needed a couple more season honestly. Very sad to see them go after 2 seasons. Bill Tench or Holt McCallany is doing the best acting I have ever seen. Wow!
If you listen closely in the first season, specifically the scene where’re Benjis sister tells them the truth about Beverly Jean, the score has elements and components of this specific track. There’s other parts. It’s almost like the mystery in the murders, there’s clues there, and finally it’s pieced together. I honestly love this show. It’s my second favorite show, first being Frasier and third being Narcos Mexico. It’s just so sad that we may or may not get to see a third season. I hope it happens. The topic of the show is so expensive and revolutionary, the era in which serial killers were at their all time high. So many gruesome murders, some unsolved, hell even disappearances. If it hadn’t been for the real world events of the show, imagine how many more serial killers there would be in modern time. When was the last time you heard of a serial killer spreading terror in the US as much as back then?
You're right on the money! I spent 30 minutes today skimming through the first season's OST trying to find this track. It seems to be the one that resonated with viewers the most. When I first heard it I couldn't stop thinking about it. It definitely lingers like an itchy sore.
@@TheHighFructoseJefe95 I came to realize yesterday, coincidentally, that I really only listen to original soundtracks anymore. The darker, broodier and more pessimistic stuff really does it for me. Makes studying so much more serene.
Disappointing that you think the show is potentially expansive and revolutionary because it's about serial killers. It's in honestly looking at society and how it affects people's psychological growth, or lack of
Best thing is when they go for ice-cream and Bill talks about going fishing with his father and only thing Bryan asks is if the fish was dead. Haha fuckin train wreck
But how good is the composer. Geez I dont want to know where he gets his creative inspiration from but he pulled off creating an absolutely chilling, deeply unsettling and dark atmosphere with aplomb.
@@StephNuggs Disco Falls are basically short sharp Violin glissando’s that are usually synonymous with the 80s disco scene, what’s kind of brilliant about using them in this context is that Jason Hill has taken a sound usually associated with joy and processed it in such a way that makes it sound dark and twisted, it’s subtle details like this that really set this show apart from others like it
It probably was composed in order to generate some "weird atmosphere", something that's not entirely terrifying but strange enough to make people feel somewhat at unease. When I heard that soundtrack for the first time, yes, it was rather obvious that this was what this specific track was meant to carry. And I truly was impressed, because it perfectly managed to express this. But I heard it another time, unexpectedly, as I was invited by friends who were watching season 2 of "Mindhunter". And, although they spontaneously made a comment about the fact that it perfectly rendered "a disturbing moment", it was something that managed to somehow reassure me. Isn't this paradoxical? ... reassure me how? Or why? Well, I just had been through difficult times at that moment, and THIS soundtrack echoed in me. While my friends were commenting, and saying how much it really was brilliantly made to sound disturbing (their comments being more technical), I've got to say that I think I waa feeling something deep in me that was going beyond their analysis. As I wrote, it "echoed", and after all, it was "in harmony" with what I was going through. I've never been a serial killer, nor do I intend to ever start. Simply, there are times in a life for which one music intensely represents them, I was going through one moment like that, and I think that there, this was the music for me. So, thank you... because this was soothing.
Unfortunately it’s not going to happen. Since this show doesn’t feature any gay, lesbian or LGBTQ people as the main character, Netflix won’t produce the next season. They’d rather dump their money on “Cuties” and “The Witcher season 3.”
this music terrifies me! The screeching refers to the cries of children. It's terribly scary, and heavy. Simply genius from jason hill. Almost better than music from the game "silent hill"
Is it the background soundtrack when Holden gets a beer from the fridge, after that he noticed the backdoor half-open and he checks Brian's room, then his bedroom?
It's 31th of may 2020 and it's the only video with no dislikes , better watch for Holden if you pressed that Damn button might as well be evidence used against u oi
I am looking for the one played in episode 4 when Tench, Holden, and the local officer are at the scrap yard. It was also played in Season 2 Ep 1 when Carr and Holden were in the topless roof top car.
Nah Bryan didnt deserve this man. Lol yall did him dirty. This music is like for absolutely irredeemable monstrosities. Bryan can be saved, Give me a few weeks, I will cheer this kid up, he has been through a lot just needed Bill to be more of a father.
This music is terrifying, and it fits all the scenes and the show it's in
That screeching sound is the most chilling thing... It's like babies screaming and banshees coming for your soul all rolled into one... It's amazing.
The scene when they go downstairs for the baby and when the music started playing, that was something else.
that scene was really creepy as hell, so nicely filmed n edited🌟

Best show ever tbh. Dont understand not continuing at least until s4.
Is this from any episodes? I tried looking it up but I couldn’t find it.
Greatest show ever created honestly
Its in my top 5 for sure. So fucking good. Season 3! 😭
It's hard to put death on a soundtrack, but this fucking did it.
Ikr? "Rose confession" and "A new hairdo for Beverly Jean" from season 1 also sound like murder itself. They almost make you feel that predatory delight serial killers get when hunting for victims. It's morbid af but it's genius.
i couldn't describe this soundtrack better then what you said. You fucking nailed it!!!
well said but it's more than death it's him : devil
Great comment.
I think it more closely describes insanity than death.
How can a piece of music be this terrifying... Amazing
Watched it 2 times already i cant get over how well made it is... god we need season 3 please🙏
