What I’d love to see KSR do is make a comparison video series showcasing the differences between their models. It would really help people make informed decisions.
Completely agree. There are a lot of independent videos but I'm looking for something with a bit more studio type sound and less room mic reflections. Product showcase video would rock the sound quality in this video is solid absolutely well done
How is the low end at high volumes? Can it play some loud shows with detuned instruments? Would ordering it with KT-88’s bring more clarity to lower tunings? Thank you!
@@clintn6677took me a bit because my camera got stolen at namm when Kyle first gave me the amp for all of this. Then I hit tour right when I got a replacement. Had to wait a bit to get to it :/
@WidowmakerStudios I remember you telling me. Mine is in this batch of 25. I'm super thrilled for the line out. I was going to buy another fryette power station or captor so this saves me some cash
does the slave out retain the depth and presence controls from the power stage? i'm assuming speaker tapped in the specs means yes but just want to be sure
We make everything in-house -- we machine the aluminum enclosure parts, bend, powder coat, build our own PCBs in-house, wire, test, pack, and ship, all here under one roof. The only robotic processes are CNC machining and some pick & place PCB assembly, everything else is done by 8 different sets of hands.
@@ProtoplasmaKSRNice! I'd rather have PCB's, hand-wired is a gimmick and typically only makes amps more prone to failure. Don't get me wrong, I like the artisan "feel" of something hand-wired, but for reliability, I'll take PCB's any day.
The Orion works great at any volume. Our amps don't rely on a power section that needs to be driven hard in order to sound good. The biggest factor with getting an amp to sound good at lower levels is being able to move some air with the cabinet / speakers. With the Bottom control on the Orion, you can add some nice thump, and your rig will sound huge at any volume. The issue usually is amps will sound very thin at low levels, adding some low-end helps this dramatically.
Just imagine how good it’ll sound with an OD pedal. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

If it sounds that good on UA-cam it must sound amazing in person.
Thank you!
Sounds great. Nice walk through. My Orthos MKII is still going strong. Kyle makes some awesome amps.
Great Review, thanks a lot!
Cheers Markus🤘🎸🤗🙏
GREAT VIDEO A NICE AMP
Wow..this is the most versatile amp I've seen and heard ever. Luv the idea of customizing and Made in USA!

Damn! I’m strictly a Mesa guy but, this has AMAZING TONE!

Good timing
Why?
@@brownsparlour9813 mine is coming pretty soon. I was actually logging into UA-cam to see if the demo had been released yet.

@clintn6677 did you get your orion yet? How is it?

Yes, it does!
Sounds great. Are these handmade/hand-wired?

How would you describe the mids, lower American or higher British?
Really more American sounding, but I've built in a 4 voices here that allow you to walk the line in either direction. :)
Has anyone actually received one of these yet?
We're shipping the first 30 units, they will all be out by the end of next week, and we've already started the next batch!
