    Donna, I have to send you a big hug here and say thank you. This v scarf was my first ever crochet project. I had no idea what to do, but knew I wanted to pursue crochet as a hobby. I frogged it several times before something just clicked and there was no looking back. 7 years later and I've become an advanced crocheter and have even sold my work! So grateful for you!❤

    These are the best instructions EVER!!! I LOVE how you use the written pattern alongside what you are doing and you speak clearly and slowly and show what you are doing. I've seen hundreds of crochet videos and this is up there for best instructions.

    Your patterns and your tutorials are so wonderful! Your instruction is clear and I love the way you used the charts along the way. My favorite part of this and other videos is what I hesitate to call a "cheat", but the alternative double crochet especially in this video is really nice. It has a cleaner look to it! 💜 Thank you for sharing.

    Almost done it's a beautiful scarf I get a little confused as you go so quickly especially this last round I hope I'm doing the 3 double crochets into the right spot. I've watched it over about 4 or 5 times trying to see which stitch you go into. Thank you for the tutorial can't wait to find the perfect little embellishments for the scarf.

    i love the pattern thank you.only issue i had was i used the g hook like you said and #4 yarn .but mine turned out way to short.i did my two colors and had a white strip in center .so since it was to short and i had to add on to each end 25 rows. i had a sharf with no strip on the ends .so i saject,s 156 chains for each side 312 chains total. to have the drape as showing by teacher. but other wise love love the pattern. ill be makeing a second one this weekend.

    Hello if you use the alt DC stitch in other patterns do you need a chain 3 to turn the work?

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  8 років тому +1

      Hi! The ALT-DC takes the place of having to do that chain 3 to turn the work. Feel free to substitute the ALT-DC in any other patterns and eliminate the chain 3. Some patterns look good with that chain 3 in the beginning, but I find that if you are doing something with all DCs on the row, the chain 3 sticks out and looks kind of awkward - hence why I like using the alternative DC ;)

    Can you tell me how well this would work up using Mandala yarn? I want something a little warmer, but still light enough for summer wear.

      @naztazia  8 років тому +5

      Hello - there is no mistake. The scarf I designed starts off with 202 chains. Are you using Kristin's yarn that I used in the video? If not, it's important to use an equivalent sport-weight yarn, otherwise the length will be off.

    • @naztazia

      You can use size 10 thread. On my website I have different chain #s you can use. I would suggest using one of the larger numbers since the size 10 thread is a bit thinner. naztazia.com/patterns/crochet/accessories/scarves/crochet-v-scarf.html

    hi Donna i made your scarf in purple looks wonderful. can you recommend me where i can get those pendant jewely...i am not sure how you call them you attached

      And purple is my favorite color :) The pendant things are sort of inexpensive lightweight metal coins. If you are in the USA, they can be found in the jewelry making section of Joann Fabrics as well as Michaels. I also saw them in Walmart in the craft aisle by the beads. Amazon also carries some as well here: amzn.to/2dGEQFz Hope that helps!

      @@naztazia Sorry, guess I was late seeing the video. Just thought I would ask. I should have looked at the pattern, maybe you put where you got them or what they are called on there. Thanks!

    Is this one size fits all, or should it be adjusted for smaller or larger frames?. For instance I have friend with the broad ( football player ) type shoulders, will the yardage need to be adjusted? Is there a pattern for larger ladies.?

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  3 роки тому

      It's generally a one size fits all. However the written pattern has additional starting chains if you wish to make it larger or smaller.
