    Good video. Doing my rear shocks soon on my 90 4x4 with 86k original miles. Using the exact same shocks.

      I got a 92 2wd w/ 88K original mikes. Got it 3.5 years ago w/ 53K on it. Great truck. Looking forward to my new shocks.

    The axle will not fall on you. Shock absorbers are not weight supporters.

    You should of showed the entire removal and installation. People need to see just how hard these shocks are to compress. I put the same ones on my Nissan hardbody they are a real doozy to compress. Did you cut the straps first before installing???

    I think even the 1986 and '87 use the same size shocks. My '95 and '86 D21s are the same. Did you use a torque wrench at the end? 1989-1997 get 22-30 ft lbs on both nuts. 1986-1988 D21s were recommended 12-16 ft lbs on the lower nuts. I can't see why the diff.

    Is yours a 4WD? What KYB's did you get? I ordered what Rock Auto said would match but they were a bit too short to install even while not jacked up.

    Where did you bought the shocks?

    Thanks bro I was woundering how to do this except yours if lifted or stock and min is pretty slammed to the floor its 4 inches off the ground so not much room above the tire for me

      Not dropped or lifted. It had original shocks all-round. The previous owner used original parts. Im using the KYB brand for hauling but in return I ride a bit stiff. Still feels a million times better from worn out shocks.

    How are they holding up? Are they too stiff? What do you think of these vs the belltech?

    • @JeffersonJosueMorales89
      @JeffersonJosueMorales89  3 роки тому +2

      They do ride just a bit stiff.. But it's not annoying tho 👀 i honestly don't regret it

      They feel good.. I wanted a stiffer ride so i love how they work. If you want oem feel get Gabriel Ultra

    • @JeffersonJosueMorales89
      @JeffersonJosueMorales89  5 років тому

      But KYB would definitely be better just obviously price shoots up.
