Thank you, I've been curious about the Loklik machine. I have the Htvront Autopress as well. I think your project didn't stick, at least this time, because the elastic waistband kept it from getting pressure on the area with the HTV. Try it letting any thick area hang off the side, or use another pressing pad to raise the area to be press above the thick area. This can happen with any press, but auto presses may be more vulnerable.
I really think I got a fluke machine. I've tried heat pressing so many things according to the required temps with it and nothing sticks on the first press. I've tried multiple t-shirts, wood ornaments with htv, those shorts. HTVRont thought it was because the fabric wasn't flat enough from the wasteband. But I know my Vevor wouldn't have had a problem. It seems like there's no pressure. I wish it worked better! It's a beautiful looking machine and easy to use. Just doesn't work for me lol
so what are your recommendations about the cricut vs loklik? is loklik great for vynil/sticker plotting only? coz i want to buy a machine that can cut vinyl/stickers precisely even with the smallest details

Why I want to know is how good is this machine for cutting thicker card and cardstock? ( I make 3D card sculptures and this could speed my process up) I'm guessing you have to do a few passes but is it accurate?

I dont have a cricut and nrrd to know the difference between cricut an loklik pen holders. If i got a pen adapter for cricut could it work for loklik? I need to be able to use sharpie fine point and it wont fit in loklik.
I've never done resin projects so I don't know what goes into it. You could cut vinyl out and add designs to things and then pour resin over it. Like if you wanted to make an acrylic keychain you could add a name to the acrylic and then resin over it. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure why that would be. I would try contacting the manufacturer. I know they're out of China and I can never get through to people from China on the weekends. Shoot them a message tomorrow
These are precision cutting machines. It's always best to calibrate any machine like this right when you get it to make sure it cuts right. If you don't I would imagine your cuts could be off.
For car decals you'll want to use a permanent vinyl like Oracle 651 amzn.to/3EVy6iA. For stickers you'll want to use printable vinyl. I like amzn.to/3u5XuQo
Hi Kerri, I've seen mixed reviews about this machine. When I first saw it, it reminded me of my own Cricut Explore Air 2. Not sure if the Foil Tool would fit the LokLik but it does appear to be very limited on the tools that you can use. I have just treated myself to a Cricut Maker 3, and was thinking of getting a HTVRont Heat Press from HTVRont UK, but the fact you're having trouble getting vinyl to even stick to your projects is off-putting, so think I'll give it a miss. I do love their vinyl, however, so will continue use that. Thank You for thoughts on this machine. ❤❤

I use the htvront auto press daily for my business pressing hundreds of items some days and its worked amazing for over a year. If you need a harder press use another mat on top of your main one. We use htvront htv and it works great. We also always cover vinyl projects with teflon with no issue. 🤷🏻♀️ Also to note we press htvront vinyl with the pre set setting #1 which is 300 degrees at 15 seconds (I believe). So the temp could have been the problem here.
I don’t like that you have to click start in the program. I don’t like the delayed action with the buttons . You have to hold it for a few seconds for it to turn on. I wonder what the reason for this is? I don’t know, it seems yo be a cheap verson of the cricut explore. I don’t trust it to last
I kickstarted the heat press. Got rid of it as soon as I could. I did not like it at all. The lady I sold it to liked it so much she bought another one. *blinks*
That is not different from design space. You just move it on the mat differently. If it is in the corner and you want it in the center. When you go to cut you click edit then you can move it. And it ill cut where ever it is shown on the mat.
It's similar to Design Space but with Design Space where you place it on the mat is done after you click Make It. You can have your design anywhere on the canvas but that won't effect the mat placement. With the LokLik software where you have it on your canvas is where it cuts. Not after you click make it.
Really too bad the sound is so bad otherwise a good/informative video. The display refreshes, the blinking, and the camera is able to catch that refresh so it looks like it is blinking/flashing.
Santa brought me a new mic for Christmas. I've tried so many different mics and they all suck. This new one I have seems pretty good though. Sorry about that.

I need to try the additional pad hack because it doesn't matter if it's a flat t-shirt or shorts or a wood ornament, I always have an issue.

The Loklik can do print then cut so it should be able to make stickers. I haven't tried to make them yet though.
Right Clip in the right corner of the grid where you see mm for then a menu will drop with inches and cm then click on inches a d it will change
What happens if you don't calibrate before using machine?
These are precision cutting machines. It's always best to calibrate any machine like this right when you get it to make sure it cuts right. If you don't I would imagine your cuts could be off.

I think it depends where you buy them from. Usually mine have a red cap. But I also buy non-Cricut brands
