good collection, as for me, i enjoy collecting all the rolex "green dial"; 116610lv, 116718ln, 116508, 124300, 228238, 126334 and recently added the Omega speedmaster moonshine gold green dial.
Nice! I like green too. You should consider the Milgauss GV with the black dial because the green crystal really pops against the black. Feels like a green dial in a way.
Loved the video a lot 16710 is the favorite watch of my small collection and the only ‚vintage‘. Pepsi bezel, coke bezel, black bezel, faded bezel, leather strap… simply the most versatile watch for me
Got to ask you. If you had one more watch to buy and it was a 36mm yellow gold president. Would you take a white dial with Roman numerals or a mother of pearl with Roman numerals? I just got to know what you would do
I just got a vintage gmt master 2 fat lady, and the bracelet feel so cheap compared to my brand new Explorer 2. I love the vintage gmt, but yeah it feel much more delicate.
I feel modern Rolex is jewelry in my mind … vintage and neo vintage were real tool watches with purpose and character. That said it’s a confusing and risky game and not for the newby
1 more con for modern collecting - way less certain which models are going to stand the test of time, whereas with vintage, ya know upfront whether something is already a classic and will stay that way…modern collecting can be much more speculative in that sense, which may negatively impact value long term vs. vintage
Modern watches are mostly big and ugly. If you are interested in well-designed, interesting watches sized at 36mm or under you are pretty much restricted to vintage.
I had a Rolex Pepsi 1966 with box/papers and I had a HUGE problem trying to sell it at a lose. From personal experience, I would stay far from the vintage market knowing what I know now!
hi eric do you know that you are now breaking through in the vintage Rolex world. stop in time and enjoy with 1 watch on your wrist. your holy grail. that you always wear. that makes a watch special. so stop buying. Make 1 watch your favorite on your wrist and wear it day and night.
This channel is a gem set 18ct winner. Thanks for all the great content without the drama!
Thank you Tocayo! I wanted to stop by and say hello. Drove right past the building a few days ago while in Miami. You put out some p
Excellent video. Made the same experiences in buying vintage. Research is the key. Mistakes can be very expensive.
I love your videos, and I appreciate that you don't use clickbait thumbnails. thank you for that and keep up the good work !
Some nice watches there Eric, and definitely some of my favorites.
Putting out some of the best content!
Eric I love your videos! One of the best in the business 😊
Nice review of the pluses/minuses. That vintage Sub is ridiculously cool. Congrats.

E , great collection , really swell group. wonderful Daytona . ~ be safe young man. ~ JDS/CT
Great video Eric. I’m in both camps. Have more modern watches in my collection but my favorite watch is my 16710 Pepsi.
Awesome video Eric . Lots of valuable insight and info.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Why only available in 1080p and not higher ?
Nice balanced points and entertaining... Thank you !
Excellent topic and video
My modern watch collection is complete.
In time it will become a vintage watch collection😂
Woah your vintage Rolex collection is insane!
Hi Eric, I wish you had covered neo-vintage pieces. Lots of great references that sit somewhere between 20-25 years old
i love the vintqge as it’s unique
why so much hate on the Sprite ?
Loved the video a lot

What watch box brand do you use?

White dial.
@@WatchEric I appreciate that. That was a quick response. One last question. Why white Eric?
Hey Eric, Great job well explained
Great video👏 😎 Great topic 🔥
Are they new sunglasses bro ?
Great video👍
Modern watches have no character, you see one you've seen them all. Vintage has character and all tell a different story.
It took me about 5 YEARS to find a simple pusher thing for my steel PP 1463! #lifecanbehard
I just got a vintage gmt master 2 fat lady, and the bracelet feel so cheap compared to my brand new Explorer 2. I love the vintage gmt, but yeah it feel much more delicate.
Big con I can think of modern watches is all the superclones that are coming out
all rolex tiffany & co stamped is huge undercover flex
Why don’t you use the box from the ace of spades champagne for your watches… black lacquer box is solid and beautiful
another con on modern watches would be that there are way more fakes around then on the vintage ones.
To be honest, Rolex is not stealth wealth, wrong usage of stealth wealth
Yeah rolex is exact opposite

I want a 1655 Explorer II
Brilliant
47 bits of paper for my dad's GMT
Me is 1960s - Heuer, Omega, Rolex !
This video was great, the background music was hideous
Eric, the trouble with new watches are all the good fakes, the trouble with vintage watches are the Frankenstein’s.muddy waters my fiend.
Most vintage watches are either fake or frankensteins and you are not getting what you paid for. Don't be that guy that gets stuck with a lemon.
There's a high risk of getting frankenwatches when going vintage, maintenance could be an issue too given it's age and condition.
It’s the same with modern Rolex. You can never tell anymore
@@jethrojacinto2798 No, the risk with modern pieces is getting entire fake pieces that are near impossible to tell apart from the real ones.

Fakes frankens ?

??? If that watch was all original with box and papers, it’s worth $25K-30K usd. You make or loose money when you buy.
