Zoe, I have seen people use their mixer to shred chicken easily. You can google for a tutorial if you like. Easy peasy! And Dave is the MAN!!
Zoe chicken tighs go further and cheaper , i always porch my chicken only takes 25 mins do in pan so oven doesnt have to go on , you can use water from chicken or bit of oasta water , or save your chicken water for base of a stock can freeze or but in fridge had carrot and onion celery for a gravy stock , im going to try this meal as not good with tomato sauce, zoe if you see frozen meals in ready meals at supermarkets you then know what you can freeze ok 👍well done , hope Ben is ok 😘x keep smiling x
It looks delicious! I’ll definitely try it. I’d also add mushrooms and I’d probably use my own spices rather than a mix.
Personally, I’d also use the tops of the peppers- you get more pepper that way.

I hate shredding meat so I bought a chicken shredder from Amazon. If you do this type of dinner frequently it’s a great add to the kitchen. Prices range from £10 to about £20
Hi Zoe. I always add the fajita mix to the chicken and marinate for 1hr+ before cooking x
Should do chicken in a slow cooker it was shred better

Try Asda just essentials soft cheese it just tastes the same as Philadelphia and it’s lot cheaper x

That looks really lovely, I love the smell of fajitas but I can’t eat them I am a diabetic and I get mouth ulcers so one tiny particle of spice makes me feel as though I am chomping down lava! The males in my family will love it so I shall be cooking it for three!

Hey Zoe love trying these meals as we're also a large family ,,another one we do you can try is pizza pasta ,,,which is chicken, pepperoni and chorizo ,,,, pasata, mixed herbs a half of a jar garlic , onion. Cook all this then mix in with pasta , mix all together then put grated cheese over and put in oven to melt. Everything bought from Tesco, you can buy frozen bags of diced chicken cheaper than buying breasts. This feeds 7 of us

To make it cheaper buy supermarket own brand fajita mix and chicken and cream cheese, even wonky peppers and wonky onions.
Looks very appetising, Possibly could grate some cheese on top

I'm puzzled by the amount of fajita seasoning packs you use as 1 pack usually is part of a recipe for 4 ?
I would possibly have used 1 & 1/2 packs
Also would add a little of the pasta water to the pan mix to give more of a sauce. And certainly would use the supermarket version of Philladelphia for cooking 😊
It's a good recipe for growing children though with the protein & veg 😊

Hi zoe ,don't you fry your veg when I make freters .I fry the veg and mix then fold the meat throwe the veg .And I would have kept the meat juice .Take care and all the best. This is the long Wye round .😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍
