I remember blasting through the game when my dad got it and saw the ending before it aired in the anime. It was a crazy sight!
Same! I remember I got it and I just played it all day to completion
Sasuke is psycholgicly broken.
He witnessed the death of his parents by his brother.
His brother tortured him mentally.
He was used by his mentor (orochimaru)
He "killed" his brother, only to learn that he was actually a hero.
He learned then how the village forced Itachi to do what it did.
and that all while being a kid. Its a wonder he didnt turn out worse
You guys ABSOLUTELY need to watch the actual fight both either in the game or in the anime both of those do it so much more justice than this video does. A 10/10

It cannot be understated.
And this probably is a broken record for you two.
But this fight is a lot more memorable to those that have seen the anime version.
So much so in fact, that a majority of the fandom considers Naruto vs Sasuke the PINNACLE of Naruto fights.
Every fan that has seen it have nothing but praise for the animation, the fight choreography, and the clash of ideals that are at stake.
Even if you don’t want to watch the show, you NEED to see the actual anime fight and why it solidified its place among “Top anime fights”
I couldn't have said it better myself Naruto the anime even with all its filler episodes is a masterpiece that should be shared with everyone of all people and generations like a story that deserves to be remembered forever.

The Final Battle between brothers
There's no escaping destiny but you can change it for the better
I'm with sasuke all that fighting the previous kage's did over control of other village's, the tailed beasts, sending spies, the wars. All that just to be forced to kiss and make up to fight a common enemy, generations of bad blood on all sides. Even if they did break the jutsu who's to say "its all good" the next day.
I agree more with Sasuke and his revolution; it's childish and naive to expect EVERYONE to just let go of their hate and come to and understanding. Hell, some people can understand each other just fine and STILL hate the other's guts.
The fight, you guys just watched skipped over some important dialog that further explained Sasuke's reasoning.
But it's just as naive to assume someone didn't consider that. Naruto is operating on faith and conviction, taking a chance at going against the grain of the cycle of hatred, understanding it takes time. Some will try to pass hatred on, but others will try to counteract it by being ready to reach out, even if it won't always pan out.
@@jamcalx And Sasuke is operating on reality. There WILL be people just as bad as Madara and Zetsu in the future like we see in _Boruto;_ there are even more like them if you count the events of the light novels.
@SuperboyLilly and? Boruto is his father's son, and sarada is her father's daughter, and things change for the better while having their own challenges. The world still spins because enough people learn the right lessons and pass them on the best they can in spite of how they may screw up at times.

@SuperboyLilly but their story is yet to be finished. They may yet still change and have many more lessons to learn. And sasuke's revolution when you look at reality typically lasts much shorter and just starts another negative cycle. It even denies others the opportunity to change and see the success of that change, while Naruto's has allowed the kage to pass on their wisdom and see that new generations can carry the new torch forward.
Many of the Kage were corrupt. Onoki hired the akatsuki often, the Raikage hired ppl to kidnap Hinata, Mizukage was just mind controlled by Obito, and the Hokage allowed Danzo to do what he did, creating most of the series' biggest villains

And the Kazekage, father of Gaara, was dumb.

Sasuke being a total d*ck is really something that can’t be helped. Just because he and Naruto had a very similar beginning, doesn’t really matter when it’s the rest of their journey that shapes them.
Naruto had many good people that supported him even when he was an outcast as a kid.
Sasuke had to deal with the killing of his entire clan from his brother and wanting nothing but revenge against said brother. Then when he finds out the truth as to why his brother did all that, that revenge just changed targets to the Hokage.
Throughout his entire journey, Sasuke was never given a sufficient enough reason to stop going on his dark path because he didn’t have the same support Naruto had.
So of course the only way anything was gonna get through to him, was to have it beaten into him by the very person that never gave up on him.
And the fight that concludes their conflict, actually feels more earned and more satisfying than how Naruto changed the viewpoints of Pain and Obito. Because Naruto wasn’t as close with those 2, a lot of fans call bullsh*t that he could change their viewpoints on life that they’ve had for decades.
But Sasuke is someone he’s always had a close relationship with even if it was mostly negative, so the turnaround there is recognized more by fans.

I don’t think it was a censorship thing, I think it was because they didn’t make separate character models with missing arms, the black blood was a censorship thing though and could hide the black arms in the blood when they were laying there
Sasuke redeeming moment start in the side-story books and sequel material where he starts to find a true purpose in life.
21:43 You guys should really just watch all the boss fights at this point. The stuff that happens in the last fight between Naruto and Sasuke is honestly insane.

some curious facts:
32:05 For some strange reason the only part that the game is short with respect to the original story is that Sasuke apologizes to Asakura, marking the only time he sincerely apologizes to a person
22:49 in the anime instead of all the people who come out with sasuke, the only person who appears is itachi, showing that even though sasuke is on the wrong path the last words that itachi said to him: "no matter what that you convert, I will always love you", they are still valid.

It is the Road to Boruto dlc story, it takes place many years after the events of the main story

Sasuke being a dick and a asshole stems from the very beginning of the Uchiha clan's cycle of hatred and unfortunately Sasuke claims the curse throughout the Naruto history but at the end of the day Naruto saves him. He nows walks in the shadows to protect Konoha in his own way so it ends well for team 7 for better and for worse.
Oh man this is still one of the best fights in anime history. They really went all out in the anime. To the sound quality, music, and just raw animation! If you guys aren’t going to react to the show anytime soon, I would definitely recommend finding a full version of this fight.
But also fun fact. The game went a different route of course but in actuality during this fight….Naruto was deliberately holding back the whole time, Sasuke even said it. but in the anime as well, Naruto was on Sasuke but like he stole something.
if there were people like naruto in real life, the world would be vastly different from what it is now. For the better too
Unfortunately almost everyone in the real world is like sasuke. And that's just because of our species upbringing and how we evolved to survive.
Your happiness and wellbeing is the _literal_ reason for the suffering of others. You cannot exist without killing the existence of something else. That's just the way the world is
Naruto's character breaks this real life cycle and that's why many people don't like his character. They fear what they don't understand.

After the Naruto/Sasuke, Sasuke is imprisoned for 8 months after that he goes on a journey of redemption because he wants to see how the Ninja World changed after the 4th Ninja War. I recommend you guys check out the Sasuke novel is called "Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise." The novel is about Sasuke's journey after the 4th Ninja War. Also you guys should check out the Itachi Novels as well, they give you more perspective about Itachi's character. And to end my comment and this is a spoiler the Ninja World that Naruto fought so much to build in the Boruto era is pretty much destroyed so thats that.
And on a side note if Bethany thinks that Sasuke is a A-word wait until you meet Naruto's son Boruto 😂.

I hope you can get a chance to watch this final fight between them in the animation someday, the gravity and emotion was so powerful, when I was watching it air and concluding what was about a 15 year series. It was gratifying to finally see Sasuke come around, after so long.
I genuinely appreciate you guys going through this series, it's been really fun, but it's still kind of painful at times with how much context is just simply removed in the games and seeing you guys react to certain scenes and it not hitting the way it was originally intended to, or there just being a simply miscommunication or inability to connect to something because of how much got cut. If you guys ever decide to check out the show, please don't skip out on the original Naruto anime and skip right to Shippuden like others seem to do. It holds up wonderfully.

Sasuke and Sakura ending up together is still the most mind-boggling thing for me. They are a terrible match. It's really just a one-sided obsession. The fact that Sasuke once tried to kill Sakura with zero hesitation should've been enough to tell Sakura that this guy ain't it.
Hopefully you guys check out Boruto's story cutscenes in Storm 4 and maybe react to all awakenings and ultimate/team ultimate jutsus from Storm Connections eventually

Boruto is decent if you want to continue to watch sasuke and Naruto in their older years
