  • It’s commonly taught that the Bible says not to judge others, and it does say that. However, is that all that it has to say on that topic? Join us as we examine the subject of judging, from a biblical perspective.

    You should fully research the word judge and similar words used in the Holy scriptures of Truth to get a full and better understanding of the word Judge.
    There can be differences between the word Judgement, judging and judgment of condemnation it depends of how the word is used in the context.
    A couple of scriptures for you to consider
    Speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to “judge” between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
    Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
    Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
    Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

    Judge not lest ye be judged simply means let he who is without sin cast the first stone. The measure is your own standards. If you judge harshly then God will judge you harshly and if you are merciful then God will have mercy on you. Because ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

      I was impressed that you had referenced Jeremiah 17 in regards to John 8 because Jesus wrote their names in the sand because they had rejected the fountain of living water thus their names were written in the earth. But you're right Jesus said sin no more because He had no sin and could therefore render judgment without hypocrisy. The Word of God says who art thou to judge another man's servant to his own master he standeth or falleth. When you judge someone else what you're really doing is bringing judgment down on yourself because by God's standards we are all guilty of something. Therefore be ye merciful as your Father in heaven is merciful.

I'm going to tell a sinner who's guilty of whoremongering that they're transgressing God's law because I myself am not guilty of the sin of whoremongering. God can judge me for whoremongering, but He will find no fault in me, because I've not committed the sin of whoremongering.

    Righteous Judgement follows correct Doctrine. The spread of man's Doctrine lead Christians to Judge falsely and to teach others to judge falsely. Do not judge anyone if you have not discerned Doctrine properly.
    The problem with judging brothers and sisters in the church is that all churches have are mixed with both believers and pagans. The church needs to do a better job of removing pagans from the flock and also need to do better at preventing pagans from entering the flock. Church is a place for worship and prayer. It is not a place "to get saved". Pagans need to get saved outside of church then properly vetted as Christian believers before allowed in the sheepfold.
    We judge our brothers and sisters not by whether they are saved or their walk with God but by physical nature of the law.
    We judge pagans to help them see the errors of their ways and help them to a path of the believer. Or we judge them as enemies to the faith to be cast out to the devil and his minions into utter darkness.
    Pagans may also be taken to court for restitution. Believers should be reconciled in the church. If that is not possible, one of them may be a pagan and should be vetted out of the church. 21:00 and 1 Cor 5:12-13

    i don't understand when people say " as we can or the best we can " when talking about sin ... that verse is saying do not judge is you are still a sinning ... it is basically do not judge if you are not perfect ... to take out the log of your eyes is to take out sin from your life ... but everyone think that they can judge and condemn a person by the law .... we should first judge our self to make sure that there is no sin within us ... then if you are without sin ( any sin ) then you are allow to judge righteously and with mercy ... it is best not to judge anyone buy leave the judgement to god

      on the part about the adulteress woman ... jesus knew the she was sinning otherwise why did he said to her sin no more ... the bigger lesson here is the mercy that he gave to the sinner and those who have bot sin could stone her by the law ...by the law no one will be save ... it is a lesson for us not to sin ... but we all had sin in our life ... he gave us an example not to judge other for their sin but to judge our self to make sure that we are not sinning ... other people will always sin ... just make sure that you don't

      you put the law above love ... we do not know that everything in the old testament is true and the same can be said in the gospel ... there is a story in the old testament that i do not believe ... that god told abraham to kill his son ... knowing that god is good and killing is bad and evil then i can not accept that story as true ... we are to also divide the word of god to know what is good and what is not good ... the wheat and the tares within the scriptures (bible) ... there are a lot of people that teach the trinity but the trinity is not found in the bible ( scriptures ) ... unitarians who think that jesus who did not existed before he was created as man are also in error because he was the first creation that god created ( rev 3:14 ) and the beginning of the holy spirit started at day one... making jesus a created being ... to represent god from the beginning as god ( john 1:1 ) ... he is the word of god ... the light of god that came into this world ... anyway you lesson are much better than most people i see in youtube

      @@OneHighwayWalker You are right in saying that the story of the adulterous woman in John 8:1-11 is not in the original text of the Gospel of John. It is missing from the oldest and most trustworthy manuscripts that we have. Most experts think that someone added it to the text of the New Testament later on, maybe because they knew it from another source. The story was first mentioned in the third century by a church document called the Didascalia Apostolorum, but there might be some hints of it in earlier writings.
      However, you are wrong in saying that the story was added much later. It is possible that the story was already being told or written down in the first or second century, and that it was based on a true event that happened between Jesus and a woman caught in adultery. Some early church leaders, like Didymus the Blind, Jerome, and Augustine, believed that the story was true and talked about it in their books on John. The story was also read out loud during important holidays and used in different works by Christians who spoke Latin.
      The story of the adulterous woman is a beautiful and powerful example of how Yeshua showed kindness and forgiveness to people who sinned, and many Christians today still think of it as part of the good news about Yeshua, even if it is not originally part of John's Gospel.

    • @OneHighwayWalker
      @OneHighwayWalker Рік тому +1

      @@chiobhon Something being possible, told, written down, believed to be true, etc. doesn't make it part of John's gospel. It was a later addition to John, and should be kept as part of whatever it was/is: a story someone else recorded. As such, to be part of Scripture, it has to meet certain requirements. We have plenty of text to show what Yeshua said and did, upon which we can base our teaching. Shalom!

    The Torah does not define sin alone. It defines righteousness also.
    It is sin to worship or serve any orher name as God or equal to the name of God. It is righteousness to deny that new name or form that Israel never knew nor was taught to worship
    .
    Exo 20:5 thou shalt not bow down unto them, nor serve them; for I YHWH thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me;
    Exo_34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for YHWH, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
    Deu 4:24 For YHWH thy God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.
    Isa 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid; have I not announced unto thee of old, and declared it? And ye are My witnesses. Is there a God beside Me? Yea, there is no Rock; I know not any.
    Isa 45:5 I am YHWH, and there is none else, beside Me there is no God; I have girded thee, though thou hast not known Me;
    Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside Me; I am YHWH; and there is none else;
    It is sin to seek after another name as our salvation. It is righteousness to seek YHWH alone as our salvation.
    Psa_3:8 (3:9) Salvation belongeth unto YHWH; Thy blessing be upon Thy people. Selah
    Psa_37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of YHWH; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
    Psa_40:16 (40:17) Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; let such as love Thy salvation say continually: 'YHWH be magnified.'
    Psa_74:12 Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
    Psa_79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the sake of the glory of Thy name; and deliver us, and forgive our sins, for Thy name's sake.
    Psa_85:7 (85:8) Show us Thy mercy, O YHWH, and grant us Thy salvation.
    Psa_96:2 Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
    Psa_98:2 YHWH hath made known His salvation; His righteousness hath He revealed in the sight of the nations.
    Psa_119:155 Salvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not Thy statutes.
    Psa_119:166 I have hoped for Thy salvation, O YHWH, and have done Thy commandments.
    Psa_119:174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O YHWH; and Thy law is my delight.
    Isa_12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for GOD YHWH is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.'
    Jon_2:9 (2:10) But I will sacrifice unto Thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is of YHWH.
    Mic_7:7 'But as for me, I will look unto YHWH; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

    I love 119, but sometimes...One minute and 35 seconds in and I have to check out. I truly despise cherry-picking verses, no matter what side of a debate one is arguing. Already, 119 has twice cherry-picked, not a verse, but parts of a verse. The main problem with mainstream Christianity is that they do this all time; taking things out of context to support their beliefs. They (the preachers, pastors, priests, etc.) know it's wrong, but they do it anyway. You all at 119 do this from time to time and it drives me nuts! You make great arguments and ruin them by adding non-applicable texts to...what? Make the video longer? Know this, by doing so, you take away from the argument. Your regular subs, like myself, can overlook it. But folks just passing by, won't. They will assume that you're being dishonest, reinforcing their misguided beliefs. Further, they will likely discourage others from taking a look at you. Your message is soooooo important. Please stop trying to over-argue. Know that I say this with love and respect.

    Well the Bible says, "judge not lest ye be judged," but we no longer live under the law, we live under Grace now due to Jesus and what He did for us on the cross when He sacrificed His life to pay for our sins. But it's still not a good idea to put yourself in the judgement seat over others, bcuz I can pretty much bet with certainty that any given person on this planet has done their fair share of things worth being judged for, so it's best just to let sleeping dogs lie, as the saying goes, in my personal opinion, than to make ones self a hypocrite.
