I LOVE STOMP BEING ABLE TO MAKE SOUNDS FROM EVERY OBJECTS TO MAKE A SHOW LOVE IT JUST BRILLIANT SO CREATIVE AND FUN TO WATCH COMBINED WITH SOME TAP DANCING ALL ROUND ENTERTAINMENT JUST EPIC
I saw them on the West End in the early 2000's and was gob smacked at how good they were. The dvd is great too. I'll have to look on their website to see if they've made any more
If you get the opertunity to go see these guys, DO IT! You'll go in sceptical. You'll sit there entertained. You'll love participating. You'll come out exhausted. You'll talk about it for weeks afterwards. And you'll notice every rhythm in your life!!
Just saw them today in Sydney Australia - absolutely enthralling, exciting ...just WOW! This is the fourth time we've seen them over many years and each time they're even better than before. Absolutely electric!
I feel really lucky , one day when I was at primary they came to teach us a lesson and we all got involved, they ended up giving me one of their drum sticks 💜 really appreciated it
You know, if there is one single thing all human cultures share on this Earth it would be percussive rhythm. ALL human cultures share drums as major instruments both of communications as well as music. All human cultures share percussive instruments and beats in common. I've always thought that if there was a single instrument Mankind has ever created that encompasses us all, it would be the drum of whatever form there is at that time, be it a cylinder with an animal skin stretched over it, a slotted, hollowed-out log, feet on a board, or even slapping one's own belly.
My dad gave me the greatest joy in taking me to see one of their shows ( However, only after his GF turned up sick and couldnt attend...soooo =3=" ) ANYWAY. He knew how much I loved rhythm and beats. When the show was over, he and I were making clapping rhythms on the way to the car. I think we bonded, but I never will forget it. So much energy and life. I had already been enjoying finding simple music in minor things, but this opened my world.
Just finished a gig on Cajon .. which is about as simple as it gets (and cheap too :-) Having seen Stomp a few years ago am going to add a tin mug to my rig ... much cheaper than a cowbell. Supposed to be a guitarist but percussion is so much fun !
I went to this performance today at the Preforming Arts center in Alaska! It was so amazing 🤩 literally one of the best experiences of my life in the front row!
I went to see them in London twice (about 14 and 15 years ago) with a group of language students and both times when we were on our way to the tube to go back home, we were all just clapping, stomping, beating on things, ... it was amazing! I'd LOVE to see the show again some day!
J'ai vu leurs spectacle au Cirque Royal j'ai adoré ....je suis fane depuis des années mais je n'ai jamais eu l'occasion de les voir cette fois je n'ai pas rater cela :-)
I KNEW IT! Dat cocacola drums ! It was my favorite ad back in 90's! When I found them on youtube with their live performace I thout it quite similar to that coca cola ad with awesome drummers ! wow.
I saw the musical in London in the 2000's and they were awesome. On my way out, I purchased the album brooms. I left the dvd running and about 30 or so minutes on, there was a street cleaner with his barrow, sweeping the streets. The guy before he became famous was none other than :::LEE EVANS
I rememner a group that appeared on tv that did something similar called yes no people . I think luke cresswell founded them too, and they evolved into stomp .

And they are indeed awesome. I am 76 years old, and I have been playing kit since 1962, and these people, never amaze to cease me!
To me this epitomizes the dedication, discipline and practice that goes into a quality professional performance. Bravissimo, Stomp.
