I haven't used it in small towns but I use the transit app all the time to tell me when the next bus is coming since it's more accurate then the bus schedule. I use it all the time in metro vancouver and it works (and was founded) in montreal too. That may help you not miss the next bus. I haven't been to the sunshine coast but I am adding it to my travel list!

One of the calmer towns we’ve been to👌
Good choices, visiting without a vehicle is way cheaper, many airbnb's are on the bus routes, another good choice is Grandma's, cheaper than Smitty's, although Smitty's is good. That is the colorful Hotel on upper Gibsons, close to good Chinese food. Down School Street to Mike's place, Georgia Beach is extra special, frequent whale sightings there.

I feel like we're only scratching the surface on places to visit in BC😅 Theres still so much more to explore but a bit isolated, I guess thats good to preserve the beauty❤️ We'll get there someday..
