Also wanted to mention for this model that there is a "daytime" and "nighttime" configuration that when you get to camp or you're not sleeping in the lower platform, everything is supposed to be stowed away in it's designated space, such as the cushions and so you can get access to the fridge/gear easily if needed. This camper invites you to be more outside and around it when at camp. Awning also supports up to 30mph winds.
Very cool! Someone should buy this. Great deal for all that is included!
Wow, that's one of the better ones I've seen yet!
Thanks! And it's probably the only Khaya I've seen on a 2nd gen Tundra.
amazing....I like it
The videos are amazing.
Thank you! This was a very informative video.
Are you able to open/ close the rear door from inside?
Yes, you absolutely can
I imagine this setup is well over the tundras payload. How does it handle the weight?
It's actually well within the Tundras payload capacity and handled it very well.
Great video!
Cool setup!
😂
How much ?
ballpark 35k, then add extra's like the fridge freezer, solar etc.... But you can get an RV loan on a slide in, to spread the cost. Basic Khaya starts around $18 without the 4 pack.
Will this fit a 2022 Ram 2500 6’4” bed. Thx.
Anything beyond a 6' bed is questionable with the folding steps. I'm sure it's possible but the steps might have to be removed.
😊🎉
Very nice. Do you have a portable air conditioner you use in hot weather?
No, I just open all the windows and awning to stay cool. Most of the time where I'm camping the temps cool off by 30-40 degrees at night so I'm usually good.
Would there be enough space for trucks with a full Frontrunner Slimeline 2? I see you only have the half rack.
Used to have that rack on my Tacoma but not sure, perhaps you could. They recommend leaving at least 5in of space between the Alu-Cab and the roof rack tho. Even my Prinsu had to be cut and that's a very slim rack.
The diesel tank looks like it's quite a hassle to fill it? Not much space above the filler cap.
It is, but I found a flexible plastic nozzle to put on the end of the gas station nozzle that makes filling it much easier.
I want to see how are you set up that fly way up high. I want to see you climb up on top with those steps you ignored all the hard parts.
You set up the rain fly like you do on most RTT by inserting the poles from the inside out. It's not hard, it's pretty easy actually. Thought this was obvious but I wanted to focus on the more important aspects of the camper.
What's the weight of this exact camper?
Dry, I would estimate about 1500lbs
@@subdivooverland oh ok, thanks for the info!
How much for this exact set up..
About 38k all in with additions. Currently selling this one for 34k OBO!
Where's the scattergun?
In the cab for quick access
Is it really necessary to give us a detail review of your rigs? I think the revie of the location is much better.
This is not that kind of video. Get out and explore, I'm sure you'll find something 😁
That looks like about $30,000 set up.
I'm definitely motivated to negotiate if someone makes me an offer! Still FOR SALE.
kinda kinda kinda, otherwise good presentation
What are you talking about?
That intro is way to long
I didn't think 1min would be too long. Besides you get some great scenery and more importantly, I liked it. 😁
I carry half the load on a manual and it’s a challenge…4 people with gear????? Right . Time for a RV with a V8….or at very least Tundra V8
