The GTI 2500 will still read depth with non imaging coils.The reading is under the notch segments on the left side.

At the 2:24 mark you mentioned it was 4" big before you dug. I thought with only the 9.5 and the 12.5 imaging coils only showed the size of target. Not the double D coil

The concentric coils are good enough. I think Garrett likes to push the DD coils

It's heavy to hold it' obsolete... i had many diff garretts but this model is the worst they produce. Stay away
